Game returned property left on another lot

I had mistakenly left my sims bike on the UBrite campus when he was going home. After he went home I had him do a couple of things then shut my computer down for the night. Just started the game up & got a notice that his bike had been returned to either his personal or household inventory because it was left on another lot. How cool is that . Must be something new?
