Next GP ideas

«1
Guys, I was thinking that maybe next year they'll maintain the same pattern of release they did this year, which would lead to 2 gps, 2 eps and 1sp. We already have an idea of what the SP is going to be, as well as hints to horses (which I believe is going to be in a Farming Expansion Pack next year). Also, I think they'll keep the pattern of Occult GP around the Halloween, but the GP from the beginning of the year doesn't seem to have a "theme" to it. It could be anything. I have a huge feeling, like supernatural prediction, that its going to be something we never had like Strangerville. What are your ideas for a GP that has something we never had before?

I'm predicting the First GP will be either Romance or an Alpine Vacation GP. It could also be Generations but I think that's too big for a Gamepack.

If its something never done before I hope its Theme Parks.

I don't think we will get a Romance GP. We already have the Romantic Stuff Pack.

It will be Farming cause most people want horses.
    The next will be Werewolves.

I would love it if we got a school GP at some point. With actual school buildings for kids and teens, an active teacher career, activities and the possibility to follow our sims to school if we want to.
I think farming would be more of an EP, but cars could be a GP.

Hey there! Moving this one to the Speculation and rumor section ;)

I'd like a romance gp. You could include a full dating system with turn ons/offs (or some sort of preferences to differentiate sims) and online dating/via the phone. Slow dance would be nice, more wedding gameplay. Also new lingerie in CAS - I can't remember the last time we got any! There's lots of little things you could do, the main feature being a preferences + dating system. It would be similar to parenthood in that way, with the new system being the feature and no world.

Also you could release it around valentines if you really want to be on trend.

    I hope we get a strangerville 2.0 :)

More “storyline” style aspirations would be great. I noticed on mobile you can pick scenarios to play through, which I think could be fun reworked for TS4. They would work well in a romance pack I see a lot of people mentioning and could add all sorts of spice and drama. The boy next door, office fling, summer lover, have an affair etc could all be potential scenarios?

I definitely don't think the romantic theme has been done enough. It's the opposite, really, it barely gets worked with. Romantic Garden definitely didn't complete the theme. That's a whimsical pack with mainly baroque objects and the Lost Garden of Healing with the wishing well. Other than jumping in the fountain, it isn't that romantic.

There has not been a larger pack centered on romance. A few romantic elements get patched in every now and then but previous versions had a lot more. There is definitely room to develop further.

I do want a country pack with horses and other animals as either a GP or an EP. The knitting pack would go well with that.

I might be open to a haunted GP if it includes the psychic/fortune teller as well.

More vacations in GPs are very welcomed by me, I'd definitely be interested in those. There really should be a deep snow world, an Italian world or other ideas like that. It's a little ridiculous that we don't have proper beach vacationing but at the same time, there would be an understandable outcry if they try to sell that separately given that it should have been in IL.

Actually, if they were to let the community vote on a new vacation world, I'd like that.
    Champ and Girlie are dogs.

We have square stair cases if that counts? It turns like s spiral but it's not round.

@SERVERFRA As I said before, its impossible that they would spend 4 years developing horses to sell them on a GP. Also, its unlikely that we are only be getting horses in a Farming pack (otherwise, everyone is going to get mad, I really don't want the robotic cows we had in SIms 3 Store).

The reason why I thought it would be in Farming is because we already have pets.
However, I think they should make a large pack that would be Horses, Deers, Eagles & other animals. The pack can be called Sims 4 Wild Animals & the world could have larger lots.
But it probably won't happen cause MAXIS aren't creative.

or because its not something that is requested enough to invest resources into?

maybe a zoo expansion and you could run your own zoo or something but, i have never seen anyone request wild animals just...wild animals. like, turtles and snakes and pet birds yeah i've seen that requested.

Farming should be an EP. Period. And it is highly requested, since TS2 that people have been requesting a fully fledged Farming EP.

I also think we will see a "winter vacation"-GP in February 2020.
The winter-vacation-theme has been a request for a long time now so I'm sure they will make it at some point anyway. The best time for release is during the winter, so we will either get it this winter or next winter. For a winter themed pack, I'm hoping for:
    1. a Scandinavian themed world
    2. Cute rentable cottages
    3. A cosy hotel
    4. Ice skating lakes
    5. Sledges
    6. Northern lights (aurora borealis)
    7. Lots of new clothing for cold weather in CAS
    8. Hot chocolate

Moreover, I believe we will get:
    • The knitting SP (of course).
    • A farming/horse EP: With cows, sheep, chickens and horses and activities like milking, sewing and butter/cheese/wool-making.
    • A sustainability GP: With small windmills, composting bins, rainwater tanks, second hand objects, organic gardening options. Space saving objects and cheap second hand objects/CAS.

I really hope for winter pack this year. I think January or February would be ideal for this theme. Love your ideas :) I would add also skiing and snowboarding to my wish list ;)
Other packs that I still want (beside farming and SP related to knitting) : music bands (not sure but I think this could be maybe even stuff pack?), some vacation pack with adventures, werewolves, casino maybe or something similar.
But in general I am already happy with what we have :)

Really like your number 1 suggestion, also the seasons pack would go really nicely with that. They could make an ikea stuff pack too, as a companion piece, and add a lapland area in finland with santa stuff too which would add to the holiday pack that already exists too. By the way ATS4 has some useable hot drinks cc since you mentioned hot chocolate

I'm hoping horses are not in the Farming EP. Unless it's workhorses, horses are not really a farm animal as you can't get products from them to sell. I would rather they focus on real farm animals like cows, chickens, pigs, sheep, goats, ECT that you can get products from and sell. Since we won't get much as we use to, I would rather they only put farm related stuff in since they will probably never add to it. Tractors, farm equipment, more plants, a co-op to sell and buy from. I see horses coming in their own GP like cats and dogs did or maybe it's own EP with the Pegasus and unicorns ECT.

As far as a new GP, I hope it has to do with wills ECT, although an EP with that, dangerous stuff, grim, and the ghost/heaven/bad place with angel Sims would be awesome

    Dragon GP
    • Dragons are small pets and don't take up a house slot.
    • New NPC: Vicki Vampiress, an egg vendor and expert in all things scaly.
    • Obtain dragon eggs, which you can cuddle, keep warm and dote on until they hatch.
    • Neglecting the eggs can keep them from hatching.
    • There are different eggs, which will decide your dragon's color. Their colors can be changed with special treats.
    • Some dragons have different behaviors based on color (purple dragons are well-behaved, red dragons are more inclined to start fires.)
    • Types of dragons: Gold (More likely to eat plants and bring you gems), Purple (well-behaved, won't start any fires unless commanded), Red (more likely to start fires, will attack any sims its owner has a bad relationship with), Black (more likely to start fires, are harder to befriend and drop more scales/tears), Blue (harder to befriend, less likely to start fires, drop way too many tears), Brown (tend to poop more often), White (easiest to befriend & won't set fires, but won't drop any items and can't be trained), Pink (Easy to befriend and love cuddles, but don't do well with training.)
    • But you can train any dragon not to burn things, eat your plants or attack your gnomes and guests.
    • Train your dragon yourself, or pay for Vicki Vampiress' obedience course.
    • Feed dragons, take them for walks, and let them test their mettle against other dragons in the neighborhood.
    • Dragons love to be cuddled with, and they love attention.
    • Give them wind-up gnome toys for them to play with. If you have C&D, other pet toys can entertain them.
    • They can be trained to set fires, set other sims on fire, garden and eat homework.
    • Neglecting them can lead to them starting fires. Luckily, they only do this when they want attention, so they'll never start a fire when you're not home.
    • Some dragons bring you rare gems and minerals.
    • Their scales, tears and diamond-encrusted droppings can be used for... something. They're probably just high-selling collectibles in most games, but become ingredients for spells if you have RoM.
    • Dragons don't die, so they can stay with a family for generations. But you can sell them to Vicki Vampiress if you're sick of them.
    • Dress your dragons up in adorable hats, scarves and costumes.
    • Get two dragons and start breeding them. Their eggs sell for a decent amount.
    • If you have a strong relationship with your dragon, it might try to attack the Grim Reaper to save your life.

Coming February 2020, The Sims 4: Master of Dragons.

Not sure what I'd want for GPs as I usually don't take much interest in them, especially the most recent ones. I really do still want hotels since they weren't added in Island Living, so a GP that adds hotels and maybe a new vacation world (hopefully another kind of tropical island) would be nice.

For a second GP, I'm not sure what I'd want. Most of the content I really desire need EPs to fully flesh them out. I guess something minor could be romance based things, with way more depth to weddings, a new attraction system that actually makes it so sims have a preferred type and won't flirt with out sims outside of that category, and new romantic interactions.

I would LOVE a casino pack with a gorgeous Monte Carlo type world which adds a hotel feature to the game. Could be a vacation GP but I would want the hotel lot trait to be usable in other worlds. There could also be swimmable beaches to add even more gameplay.
