Not sure why this is happening

My sim is in Uni her first term, she's going to be a lawyer. She already did the extra parts for her classes and always has homework done, she's taking a full load but at home (almost Yule wanted her home for that), her dad came out to her after she did her first round of finals to scold her for cheating, she hasn't cheated, the next day after the other finals he was coming to express disappointment in her. Now she has been a stellar sim and student, I'm not sure if it's a bug or not but I'm hoping it doesn't mess up her schooling or relationship with him. Anyone know anything of this, will already be making sure it's pn AHQ

I'm pretty sure that is a bug, I remember seeing it on James Turner's Let's Play.

there's a chance you accidentally selected the 'plagiarize a term paper' option with one of the sim's term papers. i did that with my villainy major sim, almost turned it in before i read what it said and made her go back and write a real one
(side note, i'm fully intending to have another villainy major cheat on all their exams, cheat on their homework or make others do it and plagiarize all their term papers. just because that seems like they'd get praised for it afterwards, if not caught)

i did see another thread a few days ago with someone else mentioning their sim's parent accusing them of cheating. at the time, i took it to mean the romantic style and figured it was one of those bugs where family members sometimes get romance levels

Happened in my game too. My Sim's mother showed up at his dorm late at night to scold him for cheating, when he'd done nothing wrong.

I had my first uni student (the eldest of five children) stay at home to study and his Dad (a widower) chastised him and expressed his disappointment in Aaron's (non-existent) cheating, too. I've read where others are having the same thing occur. Once the second son came home from the dorm, his father did the same thing to him. Gr. Neither son had cheated — ever.

Wow, while the Dad has shown up in a new game save (same Sims) he hasn't scolded any of them for cheating, which of course, not one of the four has cheated. If this isn't a bug, then perhaps EA is trying to make-up for the fact that the 'cheat' in the menu is a tad too predominant, as it appears to be the 'first' choice, akin to placing select items on a store shelf at eye level. For shame, EA. For shame.

Better safe than sorry, right? *Sides with absurd parents just because*

Anywho, it sounds a little like the vampire bug that has been fixed now - a vampire's friends or relatives would call to scold them for drinking blood without the victim's permission even if they had it.
