baby wont stay in crib?

everytime i place a baby in his crib the rail goes up and then he resets on the ground and my sim endlessly loops the interaction,what is causing this?

Have you tried replacing the crib or placing it in a different room at least temporarily? I guess you could replace the baby but let's leave that as a last resort if we could (not being serious here).

it appears a re-load of the game fixed it.....it was odd though.,
would you want to look at my alarm dump file to see if anything is conflicting?

Not really in this case. Alarm dumping is more for when something unwanted/unexpected happens at precisely the same time(s) each sim day or if crashing is involved, then something is scheduled to happen at a precise time that is dragging the game down to the point where it cannot function properly. This sounds more like one of those bizarre things that had the capacity to fix itself, thankfully.

Your baby most likely has an imaginary friend doll in it's inventory. Take the doll out and put it in the parent's inventory.
