I have been working on a theory for a couple of weeks. I've wanted to get rid of having to use plain, white ceilings in my builds. Then, I saw someone do something, with CC, and I had to work harder to make it work, because I don't use CC.
Last night, I tested my ideas in a build and it worked and even transferred to another lot, with everything intact.
Tonight, I created roughly 40 kinds of Ceiling Tiles that you can use, to add some color, texture, depth and WOW to your ceilings!
I created a bunch of Bead Board (Wood) tiles, 1 Colonial, that I have snown in the picture below, in use, and several types of what is called Parthenon tiles. I have collected dozens and dozens of types. and will upload as I get them done.
You do have to use the T.O.O.L Mod, in order to get them into place, but it's pretty easy to do and I was able to do a huge ceiling last night, in about an hour.I chose to actually frame out a coffered celiling with spandrels, for mine, but with the Parthenon tiles, looking very 3 dimensional, you probably don't need to worry about that. It's really all up to you and your designing eye.
The ceiling looks so very great! Very nice ceiling tiles rooms that you have uploaded! It is very thoughtful of you to create and upload the ceiling tile rooms so that other simmers can also enjoy using them in their game! It is very kind of you to share what you have discovered with us all!
The artwork is lovely! The Greece art is very scenic and special, the console art will especially look great in gaming rooms and bedrooms, and the books and reading art are very nice and will look great in bedrooms,studies, libraries and bookstores!
