OMG ..... Potion Storage

«1
Tell me there is somewhere to store those little bottles besides the fridge and inventory. I'm using the chest (found in the storage category) for crystals, herbs, frogs, etc, but can't find anything to put all those little bottles into.

The problem is, not only are there 15 different ones, but they don't stack anywhere except the fridge or inventory. I can put the 15 different ones on a shelve, but the minute I put a duplicate on the shelve it takes up an additional spot. Even stacking them in the fridge they consume 15 slots.... and that's not counting all the meal and garden items I already have in there.

It would be nice to have/find something that I can store all those little bottles in that maybe I could setup in the altar room, and not have them all tossed into the household fridge for company to play with when they visit.

Any ideas????

Jungle Adventure came with a big storage rack, looks like a bookshelf kinda, you could try that if you have it.

ETA: It’s either Jungle Adventure or Get To Work, think it holds like 12 items or so. I had them lined up in a basement and used them to store stuff my Sim found like plates and relics.

I really wished that they had given us something like they did for the Alchemist in Sims 3. If you or someone who is reading this is not familiar with that game. When they came out with Sims 3 Supernatural they had given us a couple of different types of shelves, one was for the different gems, plants, and so on, and another that kept all the different potions that an alchemist kept. These shelves also had an inventory where you could keep many many items, and they were stacked.

This is why Spellcasters, especially Potions specialists, have a tendency to look like hoarders, lol.

Apparently my search skills needs some work because I can't seem to find anything that fits your description. I should stay out of the detective career is basically what i'm learning. lol.

I'm using the Ornate Beauty Storage chest we got in a free update a while back to act as My storage Coffer... I found some CC chests to give my sims diversity too.

The Ornate Beauty Storage Chest doesn't hold potions. I just checked it again to be sure.

Filter Jungle Adventures and look under bookcases or shelves.

That's what I did, and I can't find anything anywhere in the game that will hold potions except that fridge.

    I'll still looking.

I usually don't use mods with the sims, but that mods looks pretty good, and I really want something to store those potions in ..... so..... yep... downloading it to check out.

    Thanks for the link.

Okay so the biggest one is from Jungle Adventure and all of the rest are from Get To Work. I personally used the one with the 2 glass shelves and the black shelf on the bottom.

    Hope this helps and works!

    @Chazzzy

ahhhhhhhh ok .... yes. I found those. I thought you were talking about a storage idea similar to the storage chest where the duplicate potions would stack. I misunderstood.

Using that idea I would need one storage shelve per potion type, and then still be limited to 12 potions of each type despite having 15 storage units lining the perimeter of my alter room.

This whole thing would be much easier if the storage chest (which holds almost everything else) would accept potions as well.

    Thanks for the ideas.

Have you tried the sales tables, both Jungle Adventure and City Living ? I remember this being the only place to store the celebeserums when playtesting Get Famous

That is an excellent mod. Thanks for the link. It's exactly what i've been looking for. The shelves also work independant of each other. What you store in one doesn't show up in the other, allowing the oppportunity of organizing the stored collections into categories. And..... stored items stack.

If I had to complain, I can't seem to put anything on the bare shelves. Every time I put something on the shelve, it disappears inside it and ends up in storage. But, that's a rather small issue I am willing to completely ignore.

(For mod users) I would easily recommend this mod for those looking to resolve the same issue of potion storage.

You can store them in the sale tables from JA and the other one whose pack I always forget. My bills have been rather high carting them all around in inventory!

I think you have to put things on the shelves in buy/build mode.

Honestly there needs to be a whole overhaul of the inventory system in the Sims 4. Finding anything in a sims inventory get annoying. In some of the smaller house finding room to put all the collections or stuff is impossible as well

If you have the Discover University pack, they have the storage box called "ICYA - Chest". You can store the potions there.

You could consider it a bit of an exploit, but I just have a family make a shop and sell them from a display fridge. So far it seems to be unlimited the amount you can buy back (when running another family visiting the shop). This way I always have a way to easily go get what I need without the clutter.
