@Thetford honestly, I feel the same way about Sims 4 CC. I actually like the EA stuff better because it's more likely to be quirky and different, although they favor the generic. Let's not forget EA brought us the BB in Vampires, Werewolves, Strangerville. I wouldn't call the Snowy Escape BB quirky, but it's definitely different from their usual. I rarely go CC shopping and when I do I feel like it's page after page of stylish boringness.
I don't remember the Sims 2 BB being anything to write home about. I was a CC-holic in that era. The CC creators were actually creative. You could go Goth, Greco-Roman, romantic, space age, run down shack. I didn't need to hunt this stuff down either. Often I was would see something available on a CC website that I hadn't even thought of and it would inspire me.
-No, my almost-elderly mother, I don't think it's a good time for you to try for a baby.
-Yes, person I barely know, you have my blessing to hang out with Johnny Zest.
-No person with the mean, hot-headed and self-absorbed traits, I don't think you should get married.
Despite being released almost a decade ago, The Sims 4 still feels like it lacks... something. Substance, of some sort. TS3 and TS2 are so full of life, colour and fun.
I'm here to say it again, LET THE 2014 BASE GAME HAIR IN PEACE! Please! You have tons of new hairstyles you don't even have you use them! Don't change them, please!!!!! I really love them and I would be so sad if they are changed into some semi-alpha generic style we are getting recently, let the plastic be! Please...
I don't want to see werewolves, fairies, plant people, or zombie in the Sims 4.
Imo the most unpopular opinion I think one could have is:
“My gallery has ALL the best sims creations ever” lol. I KNOW MINE DOESN’T (not even mildly good but), I am saying if one claimed that, it would be the most unpopular opinion as simmers OTHER than me, have some of the most wonderful and creative sims and builds BUT one claiming to have all the best would take the cake for this Topic Concept— just saying.
The Sims 3's music isn't bad, but it's a generally bit too funfair-like for my taste and tends to sound the same after a while.
While the Sims 4's music isn't without a few generic tracks, some of the DLC music really have a distinct atmosphere that complements the corresponding packs. A few examples I can come up with are Snowy Escape, Strangerville, Vampires and Get Together.

We share the same opinion haha. I mostly go to TS4 for building or filling each world with gorgeous builds from the gallery and playing for a few mins and then....exiting out lol. TS2/3 I am always eager to get to the gameplay aspect that I try to hurry the building/decorating town part.
Possibly unpopular, but I actually really miss the challenge with basic things like having to order or go shop for groceries or your sims couldn't eat (and I mean without lot challenges) or having to go clothes shopping to add more to your sims wardrobe. I miss those elements of realism like we had from the sims 2. Also reallyyyyy miss the little details in animation/interactions like when sims had to carry their groceries in a hand carrier and then pay at the counter, or having to check in and out at hotel desks, or getting to hold hands or propose while seated at restaurants. Little moments make the games fun and worthwhile to me.
Okay one more, but dine out is one of my fave Sims 4 packs 😭 i like the concept and also customizing menus to fit the restaurant theme is one of my fave things to do. I use several food mods so I have alot to choose and it’s just so fun to me idk why. Can spend hours just customizing diff menus 😄
Why did they charge the image for the Very Playful emotion? I liked the old one with the goofy face. 😭
I do wish whoever's in charge would stop making so many trivial changes that we don't actually need (I mean it's nice to have new shades of wooden flooring but was it really a priority?) and instead focus on fixing the things that actually are needed , like the traits not having any effect on Sims when they socialise as visitors or townies.
Whenever the game is altered to be 'more realistic' the focus seems to be on looking more like the visuals and behaviours of our world. I do not feel that this actually makes the game feel real to me at all, because there does not seem to be any account for the fact that not everyone sets their stories in a world exactly like our own. There is no account any more for the individual personalities we give our Sims when it comes to gameplay updates. They all have to be compulsive mobile phone browsers*- even during a werewolf rampage, phone each other about relationships all the time and effortlessly make friends with any stranger they meet because apparently, this makes the game more realistic. No it doesn't. The aforementioned behaviours represent only a small portion of the real world's population. The Sims is a fictional universe.
I've moaned about this before, sorry, but do not feel it is realistic, in terms of a believable world, to have a Paranoid Loner sim behaving like an outgoing extrovert when I'm not playing as him, or to have a Good sim, who hates mischief, playing pranks on people.
*Please PLEASE stop Sims from texting whilst walking along, every time they go anywhere. It is irritating beyond belief.
1) Most of premades are super boring. Just normal humans with normal boring stories. Pfff 2) I don't care for pets at all. 3) I love ugly and dirty furniture and clothes (yes i DO play rags to riches a lot xD) 4) I am fine with more seperate packs. I don't need 3 vacation worlds in one pack or all the occults. But I do think they should give us more with each expansion pack. They just mostly feel lacking for the price.
I want more playable go to careers like from Get To Work. I found the expansion pack so disappointing. I want to see playable fire career, teaching, mechanics, nursery, supermarket, etc. Please :(
I really enjoy Del Sol Valley's world. The starting lot is like the slightly rundown-suburb that's great to start out in, and the Pinnacles has it's glorious views. Granted, I do get better lots for the Orange-Bailey's and Judith Ward but I still really like the spots. Feels like the natural progression of buying-into-fancier homes style of gameplay the game nudges you towards.
And probably because I'm not a builder but I think the downtown area is quite nice as well. I change the second lounge into a nightclub and fancy up the National Park a little but otherwise, yeah I think the lots work well! I even like the museum, because it does focus on artifacts and props of movies and that's fun theming.
I really don’t like basegame infants because they’re just as pointless as newborns, only twice as needy and with smelly diapers tossed on the floor. Toddlers are needy too, but at least they have skills you can work on, even in basegame. It’s really obvious infants were given short shrift in basegame (including given insufficient basic cas and bb items) in order to encourage you to buy Growing Together.
I don't mind the North American inspired worlds. I feel like they fit together nicely and make sense when traveling between them. That's not to say I don't want non-American worlds, just that I don't mind them.
I like the little images that we get now with the new categorised interactions but am actually finding them more difficult to use now than before. It's taking longer to make my Sims do any interaction because I'm now having to try and guess which category they've been put into.
I actually found the old style interaction menu much easier and less complicated to use.
… Unpopular opinion with me would be when someone tells you something posted on the net is protected by “freedom of speech” as that really only applies outside the net, in America…
An unpopular opinion of mine would be that in YouTube videos, profanity should be prohibited in them as it is on this and many sites plus schools (in America); cause YouTube can/ could honestly, if they wanted to prohibit profanity in general. They just allow it. Why? Who knows… You don’t need it to make a point or express one’s self, people just WANT to use it.
But it’s like the crust on a slice of bread, it’s there but serves no real use…
This opinion might be a little popular, but I really dislike the art style for the sims 5. I also don't get the hype around having super realistic CC and stuff, maybe I'm saying that because the sims absolutely fries my computer but I just don't really get it. I get CC and all of that maybe adding a little detail and maybe some better makeup and such, I just dislike super realistic sims 4 stuff.

Do you believe in blocking people over criticism?

If you use mods, there’s TwistedMexi’s Smarter Pie Menu, which lets you type in a search for the interaction you want. It’s way faster and saves me sooooo many clicks! I can’t imagine going back to playing without it.
