I'm glad the Horse Ranch EP is set up in an Arizona type of desert world. It's the perfect place to set up a 'Wild West' themed gameplay. I've been hoping for another desert world....
Now all we're missing is the Lone Ranger, Tonto and Scout, the Man With No Name, and big dry balls of tumbleweeds blowing by.

I noticed that Desert Worlds is unpopular.
Personally I still like Oasis Springs after almost 9 years.
I even have my Cleopatra’s Family household with her Pyramid Palace in that world & my Jeannie Genie & her Bottle home in Oasis Springs.
I’m so pleased how I changed most of the lots with many Palm trees from Base, Island Living & Jungle Adventure. I wish there was a way I could show my beautiful Oasis Springs but unfortunately my PC won’t let me.
I also like my Strangerville for my SciFi futuristic fun & still believe that this world should’ve been in Get to Work.
As for DS Valley, I’m not a Hollywood fan.
So I actually like 2 out of 3 Desert Worlds.
I’ll probably really like the Sims 4 Horse Ranch World because from what I’ve seen it kind of reminds me of Appaloosa Plains in Sims 3. I’ve always loved that World.😛😉
I don't understand why some people seem to feel EA owed us all animal-related content in one pack and no more than one pack. Did EA owe us all the vacation worlds at once, too? All the occults?

I always said horses were being held out for their own pack. I think they work much better in an American Western setting than they would have in Cottage Living, aesthetically.
I don't like horses. Or farm animals. Or farming. Diamonds are a girl's best friend. Not dirt and animal poop, come on.

I actually don't mind packs coming out that I'm not into, if other people are into them - that way we all get something! I do actually have cottage living but for the cottage core aesthetic, not for the gardening or animals or whatnot.

Ok. Here comes another one. Something that really grinds my gears lol. I hate when sims are altered to look differently than they do in-game. The actual sim, in the game, always winds up being a super uggo, but you don't realize it because the "creatively edited" version looks good-ish. I think it's way better to have sims that actually look amazing for REALZ in the game. It's just like when people put all these filters on photos and videos of themselves. We have no idea what anyone online really looks like. But come on. Just make a sim that for real looks good. Such as:

I don’t care about new kits, new makeup, new tattoos, new hair, new clothes, new food, new looks for townies … I just want my plants to stop reverting to piles of dirt. Is that too much to ask?
It seems to be. The development team is more interested in making money than actually fixing bugs. I am still waiting for "My Wedding Stories" to be fixed for real.
I feel like "my wedding stories" world is so inspired by a build that I made for the first challenge of Spark'd 😂 I built a town with similar building aesthetic, a cake shop, a fountain in the middle of the town, wide outdoor curved stairs that lead you to a chruch on the top of the mountain, a river, a hill with a tree and a spot where you can sit and paint. I even took screenshots for comparison, but anw it's an unpopular opinion 😂
1.) I LOVE living in Sulani because I think it's one of the most beautiful Worlds, but I HATE that the residents are way too friendly. Ffs, stop coming into my house while I'm being romantic with my fiancé, or stop coming to my party when I clearly didn't invite you. + Why make the "festivals" something that don't pop up in my Calendar? Sure, give me 100 notifications about Spirit Day but not a single hint at something happening in Sulani. Before someone mentioned it here I played there for months without realizing they had festivals.
2.) A hate how obsessed Sims are with their phones and computers (in my current save the laptop is locked for everyone, they can only use it if I want them to be productive lol). Bc I like playing with the ability to gain fame, all my Sims develop the Phone Fanatic quirk bc they won't stop using it (God bless you Quirk be Gone).
Yeah sure I know it's kind of realistic, but not every person is walking around playing Tetris on their phone in every possible minute, even during a work task.
3.) I find the Caliente makeover unnecessary and ugly af, BUT I think Don looks pretty good. They really did a bad job with the girls tho. Like, what was the point?
4.) Why on Earth would a delivery person come into my house? I accepted the package but never said you should come in, put it somewhere, then start to make small talk with me or STOLE SOMETHING - I'm still pretty angry about this lol. Somehow the game replaced the original Mayor and her son (I did not play with them so idk how and why it happened) - so the new delivery person was a klepto and ofc stole my one and only Starlight Award.
5.) I wish there would be more to The Realm of Magic. I find it too easy to reach the top and I can't find a valid reason to continue playing with it after gaining all the abilities. It's fun to have a Virtuoso who can resurrect my poor sims who can't stop dying for stupid reasons or using mischief magic to get my revenge, but I think it's lacking a little bit more content. For example it would be a nice thing to have the ability to became a Sage, or having some kind of School like Hogwarts.
6.) I love playing with High School Years, but James Turner is in my prayers every day for making a School where it doesn't take AGES to get from A to B. Plus the random Prom proposals ruining my relationships were getting on my nerves - Idk if it's fixed or I'm just lucky but in my latest save it didn't happen too often, only like 2 times.
7.) I hate foxes in the game. They annoy the f out of me so I make sure to get rid of that lot trait if I'm moving into one of the houses with it.
I'm sure I'll be back with a lot more to say, idk if these are unpopular or not, I'm just pretty much annoyed with these lol.
I am 45 years old and have lived my entire life only having been "Dazed" a small handfull of times (Usually due to some terrifying thing my kid did that landed her in the ER) WHY is my sim DAZED every single time she Goes to work, Focuses on "Unfun tasks", or does anything that's necessary but not terribly entertaining. I switched careers 5 times thinking it was because she hated her job only to find that this is a new "Thing" and I'm supposed to enjoy it.
Loving yourself is the most simple and complicated thing you can do for you.
After reading how others play the game, I think I'm the only one who plays like this:
Once gameplay starts, max money and lock need decay. I don't want to have to worry about basic life needs while I'm trying to max skills, get promoted to the highest level, and complete life goals. I especially don't have time for my Sims to succeed when they're aging at the same time.
It wouldn't be so bad if their needs decayed slower, but I don't actually know if they decay any slower than TS2 because I didn't really give it a chance tbh.
I do miss moving around as the Sim rather than directing it around all day.

Same here! I feel like with the current rumors, my simming journey will end with TS4, and I'll be going backwards to TS2 & TS3.
Same for me! I have Sims 2, 3, 4 and Medieval and my Skyrim. I have other games I sometimes enjoy as well. I don't need any more. Difficult finding time to play the ones I have! I love these games and enjoy playing them and have no interest in the newer ones, except for maybe Skyrim 6.
I find it hard to explain, but there is an overall "vibe" in regards to the aesthetic of the game I'm getting sick of.
It's this cute, cosy, "live, laugh love", Pinterest board aesthetic. Everything feels so ... generic, neutral, plain, dull and forgettable without any character at all. And the major content creators judge everything based on how easily they can fit in the same four houses they repeatedly build over and over again. Imperfection isn't tolerated, and everything must look like the centrefold of an interior design magazine, and their inhabitants are dressed for a photoshoot. And I feel that further guides what future content we get.
I feel like most of the iconic and much loved furnishings, decor and outfits from the Sims 1 and 2 that many of the Sims community adore would be highly vilified if they were first introduced today.
