It's been confirmed that Spellcasters are a new life state to be introduced in The Sims 4: Realm of Magic. How do you feel about it? Are you neutral? Happy? Angry?

I doesn't bother me terribly but a magic skill would have offered opportunities to tell different stories.
I have enough with my sims thinking they can mix because they watched a professional DJ at a party once.

Bob Pancakes drinking coffee in his garden next door: I could totally do that too *reached spellcasting level 1*
But having it as a Life State that can be quested for doesn't bother me one bit.

I feel the same way. I would have loved something more like Makin' Magic, but I'm not surprised and I don't mind too much that it is a life state, especially since that seems to be what most simmers want. I just wish there was some form of magic skill that all sims could learn, such as alchemy, and that vampires could become spellcasters and vice versa. It doesn't make sense to me from a story telling perspective. I'm more of a fan of creepy folklore than Harry Potter though. Oh well, I'm sure I will still enjoy the pack.
But since there are no hybrids in TS4 (except the buggy ones), I had been hoping that magic would be a skill so that my vampires would have access to it.

There's an answer. Do you want it, or are you going to just waive me off like last time?
Actually, judging by this and other polls, I think most people are fine with it. But everyone has the right to express their opinions
Some people gave their reasons in their posts. Taking the time to read them will answer your question.
Yes, but I heard somewhere that Spellcasters won't have a "dark form" like all other occult, making it probably less buggy for them to be hybrids with say, vampires.
