Hi all, I've just begun @alexis3142 MySims Legacy Challenge and it is a lot of fun and what I love is that you can take your time since "long age" is allowed and that gives an opportunity to really get stuck into the skills and levels in many different careers. Alexis has put a huge amount of work into it and tested it also. I will be putting my story here as I go along for anyone that wants a read. Alexis challenge is here if you want the details... My rules for Alexis3142's legacy are as follows:

Gender Law - Female Founder

Bloodline - Strict Traditional - Natural born child

Heir - First Born

Species - Human only

Traits - randomly chosen for non-heirs only, through the random generator as those for your heir are chosen already as part of the challenge.

Age - Long

My Personal Tip - I'm naming future generations by the letter of the "MySims trophy" it's based on. For example, for Chef Gino, my Sim is Gianna and the heir to this first generation will have names beginning with G also, that way I can keep track of where they came from and where they fit in.

Meet Gianna Rosenthal

Gianna is the youngest granddaughter of the famous "Chef Gino" of "Gino's Gourmet Pizzeria" His Italian speciality cooking although problematic at times, always drew a large crowd and his pizzas gained world popularity. Gianna spent many memorable times cooking with her Nonno and that is where she drew her inspiration to create fabulous dishes. She enjoys cooking and eating good quality food but has a habit of dropping things and tripping over. This clumsiness sees her experiencing bouts of depression and gloominess but she's determined to aspire to her grandfather's expertise.

This is such a great challenge, @alexis3142 , relaxed but still challenging and I can't say how much I love the long age option as this allows so much more to happen and I'm looking forward to getting to know every career it includes as well as I have this first one. Also having the traits chosen for each "MySims" is great because they are not the usual ones you may choose for a specific career path, which makes the playability interesting.

I have been so lucky when it comes to collecting the MyStory trophies, there are 3 spots around where Gianna, my Sim founder lives in Willow Creek and she checks them every day and up to now I only have 2 more to collect, (probably the most rare ones I'd say) and I'm not even into the 2nd Generation as yet. Can you believe that? Very excited about this challenge.

Hey my founder was named Gianna too!

I'm naming each generation after the trophy it's based upon. So Gianna's children, the DJ Candy generation, were all named after musical vernacular (Viola and Melody). Viola's daughter, the Elmira Clamp generation, is named Mira (she only had one child). Mira's children (Ol' Gabby) will be named "Gab" names - Gabriella, Gabriel, Gabel, Gabian, Gabora, Gabrina, etc lol. Hoping to only have one to three children this generation as there's not that many Gabby names that stick out to me. The next generation (Hopper) may be a bit looser. H names instead of sound-alike names haha... Haley, Harry, Halle, so on...

You and I think alike, I am doing the same thing, basing the kids' names on the MySims trophy. So Gen 2 will have names either starting with D or C. This generation children will start with G.

We should get a tag list of those people that want to keep up with the stories, @alexis3142 then the comments won't get lost in the fray, especially those doing the actual challenge.

I don't know how people feel about that but if they read this let me know what do you think? Of course we would need to know who is doing it to begin with.

To make the chapters in my blog easier to navigate, I've added a link at the end of each chapter that takes you to the next chapter, so you don't have to keep going out of the story and back in again. Hope this helps.

Can anyone that is reading my version of Alexis' legacy please indicate here or in my blog, otherwise I have no idea if anyone is reading or whether to continue putting this legacy into story format. Just a once off yes if you are will do, and then I'll keep making them or let me know how else to expose this to others undertaking it. Thanks for your cooperation.

Just wondering if anyone is still reading this? If not, I will just go ahead and play it without recording things, as it is quite time-consuming to write each chapter and I don't mind doing so as long as people are reading them. So please let me know if you are still interested in reading the different chapters and that will determine whether I continue writing them or not. If you do read each chapter, one word such as "read" here or on my blog is all I need to know you are and continue writing them.

If you would like your name added or taken off the list below let me know and I'm happy to oblige.

I definitely plan to read it. I got several paragraphs in to the first chapter ... But this year has not been the best reading year for me. And now I have a newborn sucking up my spare time.

In my opinion though, if you don't feel like writing than don't.

When I get like that with a story I will still take screenshots ocassionally in my game when something interesting happens. Save them in a folder with the story name. And then write the story in the future when I have the time or inclination to write it again.

I have had to take a break from computer as I had a bout in hospital that caused some double vision as a result of a bad migraine, so will be back on but only in shorts bursts, but I will continue the challenge, just have to restrict my time or give myself more breaks between concentrating-type activities both on and off the computer.

But don't despair, I will return.

I'm back and keen to continue this challenge. Chapter 7 is almost done for those wanting to continue to read.
