A baby stuff pack, preceded by a baby overhaul.
Would love infants to have strollers, backpacks, and slings to be carried in so they can go with the family. Swing, floormat, playpen, Rattlers and other small toys to hold, square and round paddies, CAS enabled, and some traits like fussy, easy going, loner, always happy, sad, ECT.

Farming EP cows, chickens, pigs, goats, and animals a farm would use to make goods. Farmer's market, tractors, farm machinery, ability to mow hay into square and round bales, bobwire/rickety wood/electric fences, and farmer career.

    hammocks
    Riders for toddlers
    House building career
    Interior design career

Funerals, cloudland, and the pit. EP. Funerals, wills(all adult Sims can make one), wood to fancy caskets, urn/old/nice/double/ goth tombstones, plan flowers, music, and picking out grave clothes, live in cloud houses, sweet music, no bad feelings or decayed needs. The pit, no housing, no beds allowed world, no good stuff, decayed needs easily, ghost loose good traits here and all bad traits.

And one not on radar at all is exercise pack with machines we don't have. Chin up bar, skiier machine, stepper, mountain climbers/ like one leg goes up the incline machine while the other is down and your legs in seesaw fashion while you hold on, stationary bike, sit down twister machine, large ball you bounce on, weights and hand weights.

What about a Time Travel EP or GP?

Three destination worlds: Prehistoric, Medieval, and Future. In prehistoric, you would meet cavemen and would have to rely on survival skills. In medieval, you could meet royalty and battle using swords. And in future, it'd be all sci-fi with robots and holograms. I think at least one world could appeal to any given sims player and those who like to do historical challenges would have new content!

what about Las Vegas theme GP?
Your sims, finally, can stay in HOTELS!
I think about different kinds of hotels to stay in - a cheap motel or a luxury one.
These hotels needs to be like these in TS2.
Maybe your sims can celebrate special events in the hotels, like bachelorette party or honey moon.
Also - CASINOS! I saw some of your comments about gambling and I think it would be so fun to play with slot machines, poker tables, maybe even online gambling.

Some kind of musical performance pack (The Sims 4 Rockstar Game Pack?).

Any musical skill, depending on the packs you own, (Base Game: guitar, violin, piano, Vampires: pipe organ, City Living: singing/karaoke, Rockstar Pack: bass, drums, sax, etc) can be *Performed* on a Stage (new buy item or build category). This will contribute to your sim's PERFORMANCE talent (like a skill but not. think how fame system/vampire power/spellbook are in their respective packs), even earn perks and quirks perhaps. Book gigs based on your musical skill (freelance "Performer" career). Form a customized band (a violin trio? and a capella goup? a traditional rock band: guitar, bass, drum?) and book gigs for them. Earn a ton of money the higher your performance talent is.

I really want a way to make my elder sims more interesting.

Once a sim-life is complete and they become elders they already did so much, completed two or more aspirations, raised kids, have all the stats at the level that I wanted them to be for that sim. They're just.. used up. Boring. Nothing left to do for them than to kill them or be bored playing them until they die.

Seriously I need a game-pack focused solely on making elders fun to play.

    1. Time Travel Pack would be awesome and it's in my thought too. If I could further elaborate, it would be interesting IF it could focus more on the gameplay or the Sims itself than the world only,

    the Time Traveller
    - have an ability to stop the time or return to previous days/times.
    - have an ability to transport/be like a jumper from one period to another.
    - have a "consequences" on their own time whenever they have used the ability. E.g., shorten their life, fluctuated emotions depending on the interference that they did when they time travel or changes in traits & even their surroundings (like Strangerville does)
    - have an ability to change or rewrite the "history" of their own household, neighbourhood, or even the world (the grandfather paradox).
    - the time travel can only be unlocked from certain items, careers, or action towards certain NPC who might be the time traveller themselves.

    Items/BB
    - Time machine as a wormhole
    - Steampunk theme items

    World
    - 2 worlds, the medieval & the future.

    2.

And yes to this too! It would be great if we could have this too! I always imagine to have such pack in which, we could have the Sims version of Atlantis or the cloud Kingdom (and I know that it is possible since we have a floating neighbourhood for (ROM). And the BB would be great too, imagine if one household could probably inherit a Pandora box and start unleashing the "unwanted".

    3. Robots Kingdom pack which focus more on the future/alternate human Sims worlds/a huge spacecraft with multiple neighbourhood. The world is applying the three laws of robotic & full with either a normal robot, humanoid, cyborg, etc. Only certain careers could open the portal to this world or whenever the astronauts crash landing from their mission.

    Robots
    - have an ability to change themselves from Sims to the robot.
    - have a different needs and wants, and more "powerful" than the Sims.
    - have an ability to disguise like the Alien
    - can learn the Sims emotion ability through interaction with the Sims

    Items/BB
    - Futuristic theme

    World
    Future, Alternate world or spacecraft

    4. Far East Pack as a vacation and liveable world.

    - Sims can purchase a second home
    - hotels/resorts
    - hot springs and ability to own one
    - martial arts tournament

    New Skill
    - Martial arts - kungfu, judo, taekwando, aikido, silat, karate, muay thai etc
    - Foreign language skill
    - Survival skill
    - Mountaineering skill

    Career
    - Martial artist/fighter
    - Hotelier
    - Mountain climber

    Items/BB
    - ninja inspired theme or any other typical asian inspired theme
    - a must have trap door and secret doors
    - anime inspired theme

    World
    - Far east inspired, which could be mountainous
    - have a lot of hidden lots
    OID:- x4m1r4

I'd like stuff packs based on one style for furniture packs or architectural packs. One pack of furniture that's all contemporary, arts & craft, Victorian, federal, etc. Then, if you don't like that style, you don't have to buy it and builders like me get more choices and a full house of furniture for every room.

I love the pets expansions but I'd love one that had birds. i personally have two birds along with my other pets and would love to have them in the game. I would hope it wouldn't be like in the sims 3 or the small rodents in this version but have many interactions, their own creative and fun personalities and be more like the cats and dogs but a little less needy. They would also depend a lot on social interaction like with humans or other birds

Has anyone thought of a paris-european type expansion that focuses on arts, literature, dance, music etc. Which can include bands and performances. It can be fun given that in the real world, jobs like that can include a lot of different types of people and personalities. The art career can be updated to involve different styles of art and their could be art displays, or book signings etc.

A large sum of people who play the sims are very creative so this could really appeal to them.

I would just really love my sim to live in some skylight loft in Europe.

Elder pack that focusses on the lifestage Elders. It contains nostalgic items back from TS1 or TS2, landlines, boardgames, new hobbies suitable for elders, a new elder club, elder that can propose to babysit, new interactions like tell an old tale, teach life lesson etc. But it should have meaning and actually effect sims in their growth and choices.

It would be nice to have an exotic animal pack, you could have reptiles, arachnids, wild cats, birds etc it would be great to have more pet options. Also I really miss being able to have a ranch like in Sims 3 so it would be cool to have a pack with horses and ranch accessories.
Most of all it would just be great to have more hair and outfit packs, the long hair section doesn't really have a lot of choice and the updo section could do with some more fashionable hair styles and everyone could always do with more outfits.
I also like toying with the idea of being able to make your sims into fairies (again I think this was a sims 3 thing but I miss it). Just bring everything you had in sims3 to sims4, that would be great lol

You could make them a part of the families life - think of your own grandparents and the parts they played in your own life over the years. I used to love going to my grandparents farm for part of every summer growing up or going to visit my other grandparents in the city. My farm grandparents ran the farm as they always did but for me it was a great learning experience. It would be nice if sims kids could have summers off from school so we could play that way - as it is in real life in most places.

My experiences were very different visiting the farm versus visiting the City grandparents. Plus my city grandparents were a bit of world travelers so I got to enjoy trips and places i would have never gotten to visit if it was not for them. When I was 10 my grandparents took me on a ship to England to meet some English relatives. But I would love to duplicate in game things with my sims kids and their grandparents like I enjoyed with my own grandparents.

@Marduc_Plays This is amazing. Couple lot types (retirement home), lot traits (senior center). And the activities you suggest are great because they're geared toward seniors, yet could be enjoyed by anyone. Roommates are a feature players are begging for, and this would be a smart way to implement that as well.

It wasn't really a stuff pack, but something I thought would come with the Toddlers, Kids Room, or Seasons package: penguin-shaped objects. Since in the base game there is Penguin TV for kids, I thought they would later release something to match the TV; and even decorate a penguin-themed children's room. And as in The Sim 2 we had the penguin NPC that I loved, I thought it would come in Seasons, as they didn't bring it in the previous packages. I was wrong.
    Example of objects I wanted:
    - playable doll for toddlers and children,
    - wall stickers,
    - children's paintings,
    - Penguin porcelain sculpture to put on the fridge (this is very common in my country and if they even made a simple sculpture, like HugeLunatic's Penguin Sculpture for The Sims 2, I would put on the fridge automatically)
    - costume for children
    - NPC penguin. No adult penguin-clad, like the OR bears or the CL raccoon or the Seasons rabbit, but an animal we interacted with. And if you had the expansion of cats and dogs until you could adopt them.

Children's thinking? Can be. I love to play with all ages in my game.

@jadonbakes Thank you very much, i hope Roommates still come earlier with University, but in case of... i thought it would be fitting in this frame, too. Even if it comes earlier, my idea would require that elders get only elders as retirement home roomies. (but that could just be a sorting option which switches automatically to "elders only" on the retirement home lot, so everyone could still have them in housing lots and appartments from CL.)

The Lot trait you've mentioned would do what? Work like the Teen Neighborhood Trait? Only with elders?

New interactions could be also yelling "get off off my lawn" furiously shaking a fist or walking stick XD

I would be up for an Elder SP or for elders to be incorporated in some way. I might convert the house that was overrun by a cult in Oasis Springs into a retirement home for some of my elders. I think it's called Yuma Heights. I put in a community pool near it

I've typically kept elders in the same house as their kids to babysit and make things easier. Now that I have a number of households and some of them live in various places, having a designated elder home makes sense.

I think more content for elders could be incorporated with casinos and something like bingo. I also liked Generations in TS3. Memories could make a come back which would probably make a lot of players happier. Sims could remember and react to good and bad memories. Yes, I think that'd be better as a community patch but I'd take it as part of an overhaul romance and/or personalities.

I'm glad I found this thread, in particular, after finding out that I cannot create my own posts until I get 50 points somehow - because I wanted to post ideas and I should be able to do that here without hijacking a thread!

I don't think I can do formatting yet...

    Country Club
    ______________

With the snobby walk and snob trait, I have been wanting to do a calloused, rich jerk sim family - but it really needs some additional stuff. The first thing that this would need is a classic, 2 button Ralph Lauren style two button polo for both men and women - perhaps sleeveless for women as well. It is a classic style which has essentially existed in our society since the 70s at least and isn't going to go away any time soon. I personally would like to see them with both unbuttoned and one button done as well as collar popped and unpopped options - in fact that could be made to alter between outfits sort of like how sims switch into and out of dark form or mermaid form or in and out of alien disguises. Alter outfit as an option when clicking on the active sim telling it to change one of those two things.

That sort of thing would open up even more clothing mod options - such as allowing button up shirts to be buttoned up and down using slightly different meshes - hell you can also allow them to be tied in a knot around the waist or just under the breast. You could also add in clothing layering - so you can put on and take off sweater vests or jackets or cardigans or loose dress shirts - a future Sims title can make these totally independent, but a few options for the same outfit would work well for now and would probably start a modding trend.

I personally have tried a bit to do this, but I am pretty clueless at meshing so I'm going to request it.

Now, beyond that, it would help to add some activities that fit the theme, such as raquetball and tennis - both in the theme and functionally similar - and it would rock to be able to add a tennis court to a mansion. Perhaps water polo and lacrosse too - without already having horses regular polo seems too much for this title. Maybe croquet. Golf would almost certainly be unruly with size limitations for it to be anything but something you leave to do. Fencing would work good and you know that'll turn into some swordfighting mods (pirates, medieval, lightsabers) within the skilled modding community.

I'm thinking it should also have some pretty snobby traits added in - and here are a few ideas:

Shallow - Makes the sim build their impressions of people based on their fame and wealth - so when a rich sim interacts with them it builds their friendship or romance faster while it builds much slower for poor sims; they may be rude to staff at establishments and at home.

Down to Earth - Sims with this trait would be able to build relationships with sims - that THEY initiate interaction with - based on the household wealth or status difference. So poorer and service sims would appreciate someone who would normally treat them like dirt treating them as equals. They would also have a relationship penalty with Shallow sims.

Spoiled Rotten - These sims would expect things handed to them - they would talk down to service sims like Shallow sims, but they will also act in inappropriate ways that demand their needs be met. They might have a diva skill or some more gender neutral term to get other people, not necessarily service sims, to do things for them: cook for me, sing for me, do some ridiculous thing for my amusement, bring me a drink, etc. I'm also envisioning a berate mean interaction.

Golddigger - These sims would be romantically drawn to the rich and famous and favor elderly over adult over young adult. They should have a way to convince sims they establish a romantic relationship with to leave their spouse.

This should also include a world with larger residential slots, some small slots for community lots, and such.

    Going to School
    ________________

The idea behind this is allowing teens to actually live the drama of high school - though you'd probably add some stuff for kids as well. Rather than simply having minors go to school and come back, you would be able to go to school with them like an active career (and you consider student to be a career in game anyway). Schools can be public, private, or boarding - I've thought the boarding school idea would be fun to do since playing Bully on PS2. You go to classes, socialize with students, have bullies, attend school dances, play hookie, have tests, do senior pranks (as a seasons holiday), etc. You should also get to be able to set schools as year round or if they have breaks (summer vacation, winter break, etc). School should also start building skills instead of just being something you show up for. School cliques would be a nice thing to add in.

To make the clique/bully system work, it seems that you would need to be able to have cultural traits in play as well. Does the student body accept occults? Can your vampire teen hide what they are to not be an outcast? Do they praise or shun nerdiness and intelligence? Perhaps some traits such as Ugly or Awkward should be addable, have social butterflies and such.

Beyond school lots, there should be a world specific to build a boarding school - dorm lots, class lots, library lots, etc.

You should be able to set whether it is open wardrobe or if there is a school uniform and be able to design the school uniform options if so.

With Parenthood installed, there should be some nice interactions to do with detention, suspension, or expulsion as well. That might also mean the necessity of a military school option (as horrible as those things are).

A teacher career track could also be made active with this expansion as well.

For something like this, it would be great to have a time dilator that is better than just a cheat as well so you can live things out better. Have time between classes to socialize or flirt - have interactive afterschool activities and clubs. NRaas did this with Sims 3, and surely the actual developers can make it work as well.

    Get Medieval
    _____________

Sims Medieval was an interesting game - but it wasn't really the Sims, but it's own thing. Having a Medieval world where modern technology doesn't exist and you can actually have sword fights and hierarchies and perhaps actually fight off raiders and bandits and dragons or stage a revolt against the noble or monarch can be fun. I don't want to play the blacksmith for two weeks to go through a story - I want to play one family of sims (or hell, I mainly play one sim period with an autonomous family) and live the entire life. This could be expanded with stuff packs to create a samurai experience or a sultanate or perhaps go back even further with a Roman or tribal life pack.

It would be nice for this to have EA break company character and allow an 18+ version that allows for blood and bludgeoning, maybe even torture. Don't like your neighbor - kill them - but also be able to kill those bandits that are there to cause you trouble. Parents might not want their kids playing it, but us adults should be able to get this kind of properly developed gameplay.

Some skills that might come into play with such an expansion are sculpting, (add new painting options), archery, swordplay, blacksmithing, courtliness, etc.

You could also work this in as Westworld-style theme parks that your Sims pay exhorbant amounts to visit (shift+ctrl+c money for those wanting to experience). Maybe you can kill host occults (or maybe call them cyborgs) but not regular sims. Hosts that know the time and world well could give interesting dialogue options and perhaps react to your character acting out of time.

    The Sixam Life
    _______________

One of the letdowns of the Go To Work expansion was that, though you could visit Sixam, you couldn't build there like with Oasis Landing. Maybe it's time to add it in - add a Sixam world that you need a rocket or wormhole generator to travel between it and other worlds. Let's create some alien architecture, alien culture, more alien plants, a probing machine.... This might be a great time to add in light sabers - or laser swords or whatever you end up calling them to not get sued. Maybe alien pets are available with the Pets expansion....

    Getting Political
    ________________

The politics career has been a schmoozing career - which is much the way modern bourgeois politicians operate. However, it would be nice to be able to actually affect change in your world and play with game rules. Perhaps you can set things such as creating welfare programs (a disabled trait?), subsidizing bills on poorer households by charging more for richer households, perhaps a policing system for penalizing certain mean or evil interactions - perhaps a dystopian world where good deeds are punished. Maybe you can have a republic or instead have a monarchy or dictatorship.

An 18+ version of this could allow for some other fun storytelling things - such as make your sim be able to run for office to get same sex marriage legalized or prohibited, grant or retract gender-based rights (which can include a matriarchy). Allow for some dystopian world settings that, while no one should want to live in, it can be fun to fight against. Bigots would certainly use it to indulge in fantasy, which is why such options should be 18+, but it would make a unique and optional experience.

I may blurt out a few more down the road, and developer thoughts would be appreciated. But I would probably suggest charging $5 more for any 18+ versions with the ability to upgrade with verification for just the $5 difference.

Oh, one more I would like to add is

    Godly Entities
    _______________

You can create some gameplay mechanics that allow for different fictional religious beliefs and interactions. Sims can attend religious services and get married at religious buildings. You are going to have to have a monotheistic religion or two to keep the majority happy - but my thoughts driving this are more along pagan grounds and, in particular pagan magical practices (as opposed to the Harry Potter theme in the Making Magic theme. I had thought about trying to design a mod for this shortly before Making Magic was announced and it can still be done.

Think of having rituals and making sacrifices to gods (could be an item or simoleons or food - perhaps the deity has preferences). Spells can be cast through ritual to aid plant growth or change weather or cast love spells or such. Perhaps some dark deities allow for more nefarious control than the love spells, which are already black magic. Yes, this creates a deity occult, which perhaps has both a solid and ghostly form - maybe even an animal form. While generic religions would have vanilla rules, perhaps some edgier rules for custom religions - such as allowing for goetic (black magic) or forbidding blessings. Perhaps you can have rites of passage. Of course custom religions should have custom dieties that can be built into a pantheon (and branches being made possible for those and vanilla religions to share pantheons).

Perhaps you can actually meet with deities after some effort and befriend them - or make enemies of them.... It might be fun to be subject to divine curses for 🐸🐸🐸🐸 off a deity. They may inspire sims to do good or evil acts - or more neutral acts that fit in with their theme. A fertility god might encourage gardening and woohoo - a sea god might encourage fishing and boating. Nature gods might promote conservation with Island Living.

You'll need a ritual magic skill, perhaps seperate for theurgic (white) and goetic (black) magic. Dieties can perform more extreme and immediate magic, and perhaps we can have demigods who can have some more restricted or lighter powers. A religious study skill could aid in befriending dieties you come across by knowing how to interact with them.

With the politics expansion I suggested above, having open, closed, or privileged religions might be a good thing to connect - and there it may make some bigots realize that certain demands for "religious freedom" are actually demands for religious privilege along the way. You can't teach lessons in vanilla.
