Add Your Pack Ideas that are not on The Sims 4's Radar

Not really packs, but I miss a lot of the interaction and animations the Sims 2 had. Leaving with a suitcase, getting into and out of a car. It'd be ncie if we could drive but that's too much programming and coding lol so just getting in and out is fine. A lot of their social and romance interactions were good too. As much as I am in love with TS4 they need new interactions and animations because a lot of what they have is recycled.

But if we had to make a pack list, I'd love to have:
---Murder Mystery (as mentioned above). Whether its solving one or not getting found out. It shouldn't be exclusive to a timed event or location either. How awesome would it be to murder a Sim and have to always evade the police, change your name, image, until your sim dies? I don't condone violence in real life but if we have a chance at murder mystery that'd be cool too.
---University. I thought it was great in the other games and a reboot would be phenomenal.
---Zombies and Werewolves!!! We already have Vampires and soon to be Witches/Wizards but I can only see something like that being released around Halloween.
---Spies, Superheros, Supervillains. Who doesn't love some action? And weapons! Grappling hooks! Utility Belts! Underground Sewer Lairs and Secret Mountain Hideouts!!
---Mid-Life Crisis (as a few people have already mentioned)
    ---Fantasy Adventure.
    ---Sports/Olympics
---Sci-fi Adventure. We have Aliens. We just need to have a space adventure.
---Variety pack in meshes like wheelchairs, canes for the blind, robot limbs and maybe just robots lol.
    ---Robots 🐸🐸🐸🐸
    ---Time Travel.

A lot of what I want are things I can get from MODS but still!!! Having them officially added to the game would be soooo much better. XD

Ah but if would be nice to layer clothing in CAS. Sometimes a shirt looks better with a sweater or no sweater at all.

    > Nothing too big or anything but I would love a "sim next door" type pack. It would be a play on the girl/boy next door trope and would focus on comfy, casual, everyday clothes and hairstyles for your average neighborhood sim. I could see this being an opportunity to focus on clothes for teens/kids as the trope usually has to do with teens falling in love with the girl/boy whose lived next door since they were kids. They could even add a first crush option for teens. I think it would be a welcome change to all the glamorous, high end clothes that have come out in packs recently.

    > May be a bit dated nowadays but I'd really like to see something like this.

It would be nice if in addition to this they would tweak the programming so that sims that live in a certain world/neighborhood are more likely to be seen there than other sims. I find it weird sometimes to see so many randoms walking around certain neighborhoods, but never seeing the locals out for a run or coming over to chat.

I know we're getting ROM soon, but I'm already ready for the next spooky pack. When I heard we were getting witches, I hoped for fortune telling, palmistry, and more exploration of the occult. Since we're not getting that in ROM, I'm really really hoping for a Paranormal Pack.

    We can get improved ghosts.
Curious sims can learn rites and access the Netherworld (yet another secret lot, but secret lots are great).
I don't want to add zombie zombies to the game... but like the Sims 2, if a newbie occultist tries to resurrect a loved one, the loved one will come back a little different.
An NPC cult leader who can help you access the Occult or Paranormal or Necromancy skill.
    A new cemetery lot type.
A new funeral social event, possibly.
    They can introduce superstitions.
B/B would include a broken swatch of every existing mirror.
AND LADDERS to walk under (and climb).

Oh boy, I better learn how to make custom content because this is getting a little dark.

Not really. This all fits into the T rating, except for maybe necromancy. I'll never think of it the same way again, not after watching the House with the Clock in its Walls. The rest of I give an A for Amazing I Hope Maxis Adds It.

    adrenalin pack:
    • indoor skydiving tower, with glass, so you can see your sim doing flips and tricks.
    • bull riding machine
    • surfing pool
    • zorbing
    • half-pipe snowboard/skateboard
    • Motorcross

    emotion: adrenaline pumping, low adrenaline.
    asperation: Adrenaline lover.
asperation reward: fight death when death comes you can choose to fight him to stay alive.

Stop me if you've heard this one: a sim walks into a bar....player moves bar out of the way.....sim walks on without walking into anything else.

It's a well known fact that the Sims community continues to beg EA for University, Farming, Cars, Elders & Tweens, and Spiral Stairs. But what are some off-the-radar pack ideas?

    My ideas/examples:

Secondhand Stuff Finally, your sim's home can be off-taste AND without being mismatched. This stuff pack provides gaudy decor and fashion DON'Ts from bygone days.

Murder Mystery Party Stuff Yeah, offing a sim would, I guess, be too dark. But what if your sim threw a party and pretended to get offed? Search for clues in creepy antiques to solve this "murder" on a dark and stormy night (storm SFX)

Super Heroes GP Take your sims up up and away, blah blah blah marketing. Super powers, Secret Identities, Llama Caves

Netherworlds GP Where do sim ghosts go after you release them to the netherworld? Open a portal to the Netherworld and let Virgil be your guide

Midlife Crisis Stuff That awkward stage between adult and elder has just gotten a lot...crisisier

Gambling Pack - Come to think of it, maybe gambling could be the draw for Midlife Crisis stuff, lol

Multi-Unit Complex Pack Apartments? Those are so 2016. Introducing the new lot type: Multi-Unit Complex. Build your own and move in today!

Feel free to ask me about my silly pack ideas, I would love to brainstorm.
Please add your own ideas as well. I only ask that they are fairly simplistic conceptually (but feel free to elaborate) and have broader than niche appeal. Is there an aspect in the game currently that you believe could be explored more in an expansion/game/stuff pack? Please share

Murder Mystery Pack would be fun. I'm a self proclaimed detective so this would be right up my alley. I'd also like the Multi Unit Complex & Midlife Crisis
    Simming for 19 years!
    Family Tree
    Playing Mod & CC Free

A 'Find your soul mate' EP with an attraction system . What makes a sim fall in love with another sim ? What does a sim find attractive in another sim ? With it a whole dating type EP with all the ups and downs including exes and step children and dealing with them. Sharing custody and child support and knowing if your significant other is pregnant with anothers baby.

I think that sims 4 is definitely missing university, but with the game pack university, they could also add more education stuff. What if they made an "education" expansion pack, similar to a "get to school" pack, but with university and home education (or home schooling if you live in the US). Their could be a way to change what type of home educating parent you are (more school-y or less school-y), Kids could be home educated for 1 stage of their life, then the next they could be in school, then the next etc, and they could be taken out at any time. There could also be home ed meet ups in parks or museums, where a bunch of parents come with their kids during school hours so the park/museum is mostly empty, then stay their for a few hours and come back. I think sims is really missing home education (I am a home educated kid and I would like some representation please), what do you think?

Besides university, farms and elder/tweens, what I would really like is:

-Casino Night GP - A Miami inspired world, with many bars, beaches, neon lights and of course, Casinos. A gambling skill up to level 5 and a luck system (everyday your Sim wakes up they can have either a good luck, a back luck or neutral, and this will influence not only gambling, but pretty much everything). An aspiration for those who want to have loads of fun drinking and making lots of money gabling and the reward trait "Lucky Charm" that will give permanent good luck. CAS and BB items should have two styles: one inspired in the 20's, with pastel colors and another more like the 80's, with lots of neon. There should also be tube cashes and pool bars.

-Mystic Mountains GP - A travelling destination with mountains full of flowers and beautiful lakes. At night, the sky is colored with nothern lights. You can rent a Treehouse and do activities like Tree climbing, Zip lines and swimming in the lake. If you find your way into the cave, you can make a wish to the Lhama Mother.

-Reform Time SP - An active Architectural Designer career, where Sims hire you to rebuild or redecorate their homes. Receive assignments from "My bathroom is red and I hate it, please change it" to "We're having triplets and need 3 new bedrooms". Also, the pack should add much waited BB assets, like Attics, bunk beds, L and spiral stairs and separate shower heads.

-Circus GP - Become an acrobat, a magician or a fortune teller. Take your sims to the circus (a lot/world much like the circus area in TS1: making magic) with merry-go-rounds, cotton candy, popcorn and many circus artists. Watch them perform or be the performer.

I highly doubt this would happen but a musical theatre pack with costumes and posters and maybe a career option to be on "Simway" as they would probably call it that has the same form as the acting career except you can choose when to leave a job unless it closes.

Just a Group Activities Pack in general. The thing I miss most from Sims 2 is the interactive activities, even if it was just punching your friend in the arm. The pillow fights and water balloon fights were great. I was really excited when they put out a water balloon bucket but I guess the AI can't handle it. The action takes forever to start up and then it's completely lame. The only other thing Sims can do together is talk or play at a game table. They even dance shoulder to shoulder instead of face to face. Fishing 'together' is just a word they added to the game. No real effect. I guess there's darts and bowling.

This pack should fix the water balloon bucket, fix the City Living basketball court so you can play an actual game, add tag and hide and go seek for kids, introduce couple dancing with ballroom style, and bring back the pool table with actual games of pool.

Speaking of babies, I wish Sims were able to hold babies and toddlers while walking/moving around. Also when going out e.g. on a walk etc, strollers/prams would come in handy. When sims get tired of holding the baby/toddler their mood could change, signalling that they want to put the child down or in a stroller.

@AccidentalBois I think that's a great idea. I recently built a Shakespeare in the park sort of theater. I placed the gaff tape-ish scene X marker spot things from Get Famous (I hope you know what I mean...). I took my sims to the park and had them perform death scenes and fights, etc. Definitely not enough options. It would be super cool to have like a Thespian career with a playwright branch and an "actor" branch (but we should figure out a different word than "actor" since that's already a career in Get Famous), and the ability to choose a combination of scenes to create a play that our sims can do for us... it could be meta, like a play within gameplay.

Or have like Community Theater pack where sims attend rehearsals a few times a week, for a few weeks. After a while they have opening night (and it would be cool to go with them to the venue to watch them perform). This would be a little more quaint than Broadway, but maybe if you have this Theater pack + City Living you can choose to have the play performed in San Myshuno or even Del Sol Valley.

To be honest, I'd love if they made a second take on Get to Work with some of the preexisting careers. To be able to play as a secret agent, as an athlete or even a criminal... Those are some I think that could be explored a lot more and would be fun to interact with in a work space.

A virtual reality pack with a neon cyberpunk themed world you can only reach by using a vr headgear or maybe the capsule-beds from get famous. Almost like a holiday world, mostly to fill your sims fun and social needs in virtual activities (like racing, gameshows, skydiving, maybe online dating?). You return by passing an exit portal or if your sims hunger or bladder level reaches critical states (taking a nap will be possible there. :D The Sims can use aliases and if friendship is high enough in VR they can find out who's behind other sims sims in RL (confusing...)
Parcour - the art of jumping to conclusions.

Amusement Park/Fair/Tourist Attraction pack-comes with amusement park rides/food booths/games and the Tourist Attraction lot type, which would only need a ticket booth and at least 3 fair rides to make it an attraction lot.

Community Pack-comes with things like laundromats, fire stations, banks, video game arcades, post offices and other community stuff. Comes with the Public Lot type, which works just like the community lots in Sims 1.Also comes with a blank intercity type world(like Newcrest) that has all concrete ad no water. And like Forgotten Hollow, there ae no silly decoration buildings anywhere!

Funtime Pizzeria Stuff pack-comes with colorful balloons, singing animatronic animals and stuff for birthday parties. Requires a stove,a refridgerator and at least 3 animatronic animals to make it into the Family Fun Center lot.

Pet Shop pack-comes with reptiles, birds, fish and pet supplies such as dog houses, bird cages, more types of pet toys etc. You could use the pet supplies to open up a real pet shop!

50s/60s/70s/80s Stuff pack-decorate your lots with things from 1950-1989.

Winter vacation pack-enjoy a fun snomy vacation at a ski resort. You can also build snowman, sit at the lodge drinking hot chocolate, and other fun wintery activities.

Hotels and apartments pack-create your own apartments or hotels/motels/inns in any of the wordls(Brindleton Bay,Oasis Springs,Forgotten Hollow,etc)-you can even be the landlord or hotel manager if you like! Comes with the rental lot type, which require either a sign- in desk or an apartment mail box row.

Grungy Life pack-comes with beat up/broken/dirty Build/Buy things and old-looking clothes with rips and patches on them. Comes with a world that's surrounded y trees and old, beat deco buildings.
Why do you hide inside these walls?

    I love these!

I would love a way for the Sims to bring us fairs. I'm hoping the "Farming pack" that everyone wants is centered around county fairs. It just seems like a simpler way to give people the rural environment they really want.

I definitely want a hotel game pack similar to dine out. And I really hope they give us a pack where we can build our own apartments.

As far as the Grungy stuff, I would totally pay for a pack that's 100% dirty swatches of base game items. Plus the two base game linoleums only come in one swatch each?! Like get real. I need more ugly stuff!

I have an idea too for a Svandinavian (Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Icelandic inspired) farm pack:

    Introduction:
Welcome to the sweet country life in the Scandinavian! Move you family into a modern farm with simplistic furnitures and make a big fortune by having a lot of animals and crops and producing weed, nectar, milk, wool, meet and eggs. Or if you prefer the simple life, start a traditional farm with a few chickens and perhaps a horse and dress up with a flower crown.

Do many activities like sewing, knitting and nectar brewing. When you are hungry, enjoy eat out meal, meat balls and layer cake.

While the adults are working, let the children play with wooden toys or jumping the rope. Or perhaps they will make a perform a viking play for the grandparents.

When done working and playing, let the whole family dress up in traditional Scandinavian clothing and enjoy the folk dance.

Or just go for a walk or take the bike and enjoy the northern lights, high mountains and green fields with the solar and wind power systems in the distance.

The scandinavian countries are known for the happy populations. The reason for this is not the rainy weather, but our welfare systems: Sometimes you can’t find a job cause everything is taken. Or you are too old or sick to work. Or perhaps you are just studying, your parents are poor and you do not have time for a job. But don’t worry - the society’s got your back! Everybody will get a decent amount of money and pay a bit of taxes - and everyone, young and old - will get a basic income in return if needed.

    Themes in build/buy/create a sim:
All items in build, buy and create a sim has two different aesthetic themes: A modern theme and a traditional theme (perhaps based on the scandinavian / north european 1950s).

    Small activities:
    Sewing machine
    Knitting
A few new recipes or updates of old recipes

    Medium activities:
    Butter and cheese making
    Flour making
    Nectar brewing
    Chickens and eggs

    Big activities:
    Cows
    Sheep

    Create a sim:
    Clothes and hairstyles
    Horses
    New farmer aspiration
New farmer trait (makes you gain farming related skills faster)

    Skills
    Wool making, sewing and knitting
    Butter and cheese making
    Weed and flour making
    Nectar making

    One big world
2 smaller lots (for traditional off the grid farms) - for small and medium activities:
These lots have an edible part where you can build a house and place a chicken house and a few animals and hand run machines for making butter, cheese, flour.
The none-interacting surroundings of these lots are more traditional with nature, old farmhouses and mills.

2 bigger lots (for modern farms) - for big small, medium and big activities:
These lots are bigger and on the edible part you can make a modern farm/ranch.
These livable lots have access to non-edible lots where you can access your many sheep, cows or horses.

    1 community lot:
The aesthetics of the lot is based on the traditional and modern style mixed together
Farmers marked: Her you can sell and buy

Every livable lots have an edible part where you can build a house and place a chicken house or a few animals.

    Scandinavian culture:
    Food:
    Oat meal
Layer cake with cream and strawberries on top
Meatballs with potatoes and brown sauce

    Activities:
Folk dance (people dancing in groups with tradional clothing)
Midt summer festival (traditional clothing, flower decour, flower crowns, big bon fire)
    Biking

    Children plays:
    Playing with LEGO (scandinavian brand)
    Wooden toys
    Jumping rope

    Architecture:
Today: Very simplistic, often black/white or lighter brown and nature colours
Before: Houses made of red wood and house made of stone

    Nature:
    Northern lights (aurora borealis)
Flat, green fields and high mountains
Could during the winter and mild summers, often raining

    Society and history:
Welfare states (free education and health care)
Liberal values like equality and atheism
Environmentally friendly (solar power, wind energy, water mills)
    Vikings and monarchies

The better the Sim's behavior, the faster the Sim to be able to reincarnate. To be able to reincarnate, you may need to have an alive Sim to be pregnant. When reincarnated, the game will be processed to the family, and the deceased Sim will therefore return to the Sims' world after being bornt.

    > - Miniature Gallimimus has 4 life stages : Egg, Hatchling, Adult and Elder. They are added to the household once hatched, and have 6 needs (Hunger, Bladder, Hygiene, Energy, Fun, Wilderness). Gallimimus eat raw meat and it can be served directly from fridges. They can be trained to pee outside, and also can be bathed in bath tubs. They can play fetch like dogs.
    > - It is advised that Miniature Gallimimus has to be kept in a pack of at least 2 individuals to protect your Sims' furniture from being destroyed due to their wilderness need, as Gallimimus is not a solitary dinosaur.

    Peeking back in here.

Because RoM brought up talk about a possible werewolf pack, I started thinking about that a lot (more than usual, c'mon Maxis, gimme my were-creatures).

What I'd love would be a Mythology pack. I know we already have vampires and spellcasters, but a pack with a more general myths theme would be great. It could contain werewolves (please have various options for form options for the occult) and faeries and maybe other mythical creatures that we haven't seen yet from a variety of cultures.
The world could feel like an extension of Windenburg's forest area and (now that we have a secret world that's properly accessible even if not fully buildable) have faerie circles that could lead to a Fae Realm with items that make the Sims feel like they've been scaled down. There could be more herbs and collectibles to create salves and talismans, fairy enchantments and even things like changelings (if you're living near a fairy hill, there's a chance that a toddler or child Sim could have a trait changed and you could have an option to reverse it via an offering to the fairies).
It would be fun to also come with market stalls and more selling table options, so you could make a village market. More "natural" or old school needs filling options (to flesh out the Off-The-Grid lot trait): an outhouse, the ability to wash oneself in a stream, tubs to wash toddlers (and possibly babies), a small cauldron over a fire pit to cook on, blankets to put on the ground to sleep on.

Things that would work well with a bunch of the other DLCs (I love when they're complementing each other): ability to make packs with Get Together, new magic ingredients for spellcasting, natural medicine options for the illnesses for GTW (salves with varied effects: one effect with the Mythodology pack, bonus one when you also have GTW, with a variation of success), recipes that include garlic and have the side-effect of repelling or harming vamps if you have that pack), a festival added to CL, holidays/celebrations into Seasons.
Oh and have the moon cycle implemented (with the option for how it affects werewolves'/shapeshifters' control) - with Seasons you'd get to see when it's coming, without it you'd be in for a surprise unless you're tracking days.

I'm sure Werewolves and Fairies are already on the devs' radar but I'd love if they were included along with a general old-school mythical theme.
