Re-creating Ancient Egypt aka Al Simhara

Ever since the days of The Sims 2, I downloaded massive amounts of CC that was Egyptian themed, And when Sims 3 came out as well but now that we are into 4 I'm having trouble finding my favorite CC. So I thought I would try my hand at making some, and by that, I mean copy/paste designs onto pieces. I have nooo clue how to create meshes and when I looked up how to learn it gave me a headache ^_^

Now, this first piece I was trying to make an Anubis Mask for Priest / Priestess of his Temple. The mesh is not mine, and it's originally a rabbit lol but I think it looks pretty close to a Jackal.



And then a couple of ppl said it reminds them of Donnie Darko lol sooo I then made this mask below




Found a mesh on TSR that I liked and made some vertical pillows and floor.

And here is Hathor, Mistress of the West. She appears as having white cow ears or horns. Now, none of this is my content, the dress pattern is from a Sims 2 dress and the horn/ears and bangles I found online.




And here we have Bastet the Goddess of Cats, also none of this is my content.

Using Studio K's Nun Habit I recolored it and made some headgear.

The Ten Commandments meets Sims 4, I know it's not perfect but eh I tried lol

There are over 1,500 gods in the culture and I picked the ones I know of being Anubis, Bastet, Osiris, Ra, Is-is , Hathor, Ptah & Horus

I know of Set but I think only Sims with the Evil trait would worship him lol and I don't have Island Living so I don't need a temple to Sobek ^_^

I found this lot on The Gallery but I made some changes to it with some CC I found.




And this lot I built it's supposed to be a Sun Temple to Ra. I built some walls using patterns online and a couple of decals to look like wall art.

And then I found this Library on the Gallery by Tammyjo329, I resized it to fit a smaller lot and made some changes. I couldn't find any Stork or Ibis bird decor for the image to represent Thoth so I found a Crane CC and recolored it look like an Ibis sculpture found in a museum.

The homes by the Floodplain Field / Farm are where I have the Lower Class living, and then below them is the Middle Class with a Temple and a Park / Garden lot, Then the buildings facing the water are Library, Pyramid for the Queens, Grand Temple, and Senet House. Then further up is where the Upper Class are living with a Sun Temple to Ra and in the very middle of the map, you have a Stepped Pyramid that houses the past Pharoah's bodies and finally at the top of the map you have the Royal Palace & Apartments for extended family.

The bulk of these buildings were downloaded off the Gallery, The only houses I built were 2 of the Peasant Homes, Floodplain Farm, Garden/ Park lot and the Sun Temple to Ra.

And I got online trying to figure out the Social Pyramid and I think the only Careers playable for Egypt themed neighborhood would be

Pharoah & Queen - Political

Government Officials, Nobles & Priests which would be rich Political sims

Physician - Doctor / Apothecary Shop - Herbalism

Scribe - Writers / Merchant - Retail Lot Owner, Business

Artisans - Painters, Woodworker, Entertainers, Style Influencer aka Tailor, Actors, Florist, Culinary, Baking

Soldiers & Guards - Military, Detective

Peasant - Fishing / Fisherman, Farmer / Gardener, Manual Laborer, Retail Employee

And anyone could be in the Crime & Secret Agent career I think lol

That’s beautiful!! I made a lot like the pyramid that I uploaded on the gallery recently but it was just a pyramid house with two fountains In front of it and a few Palm trees. I love the decor on yours!

I like Ancient Egypt In général, I just went to the Tutankhamun exhibit In Paris.

Okay, sorry I haven't posted in a while. Found some abandoned kittens on the side of the road and I took them in since everyone is full because it's kitten season right now.

Downloaded this lot off the Gallery and with a bunch of CC I turned it into a Tailor / Weaver Shop.



I figure the top floor can be for modeling clothes to customers ^_^

Also, I added a Shrine to the Goddess Neith since she is the patron god of Weaving. Anyone who has ever played Smite you will remember her










The inside of the shop features spools of thread, balls of yarn, fabric bolts, a loom, scissors, some clothes in a basket and hanging on a line and various other things.

In the Sims 3 I downloaded a pyramid it was amazing. But to have an entire neighborhood that is very complete and very detailed

Just finished making the Bazaar, The lot is by sawdust123 but I made some changes with LOTS of CC as you will see below in the pictures ^_^

And today I just finished setting up the Apothecary Shop

Outside - originally by IllonkaSims but I changed it to a 1 story


And then I started building Shrines in locations so at the Apothecary I built a shrine to Is-Is and in case her name gets hidden it's Osiris's wife.

Okay, this Egyptian Bar was designed by SimplyNando and I made a few changes to it but other than that you can find his on the Gallery.









Shrine to Osiris, I figured since he is the God of alcohol this would be a good place for a shrine to him ^_^

Not sure if anyone is watching this post or not lol but here is my newest building, It's the Courthouse and I'm in the process of building a Police Station next door to it as well and this will be the GTW - Police Station lot.

I was trying to recreate this from the PC game Pharaoh but I didn't like the purple - pinkish trim it looked out of place

Instead I went with a blue - green trim and I think it matches well




This is the Goddess Ma'at she is the concepts of truth, balance, order, harmony, law, morality, and justice, As the goddess of justice, she is the patron of judges who wore small pendants of her as a sign of her authority over them

I downloaded Vojehobuw - TSR mod that gives mannequins a realistic skin tone to use them to make Guards. And I made some Reliefs that I found online of Ma'at and the scroll on the wall is the 42 Laws of Ma'at

Okay back from Hiatus, and below is the Jail / Police Station and I have it on the same lot as the Courthouse.

Front of the building with 2 guards stationed outside




Main Floor, I had to put some GTW objects otherwise I would have issues with the career if I choose to go to the lot.
