I think my favorite tropical destination would probably be Hawaii. I've never been there, but my parents got married there and got pregnant with me there.
I would love love love to go to Aitutaki which is an island in the cook islands. It is surrounded by barrier reef, there's a lagoon teaming with wildlife too!! There are also boats that go to other nearby islands like the tiny island of Tapuaetai known for it's white beaches.
My other choice, (probably actually my first) would be to go to the island of Ishigaki, south of the Japanese Mainland and near Taiwan. Surrounded by coral reefs and covered in sunny beaches!!
I've never been anywhere tropical. I've lived in Texas all my life and expensive destination vacations are not a thing us poors do, so the only ocean I've ever visited (or even seen) is the Gulf of Mexico. It's basically America's sewer. Probably has something to do with the American tradition of using the Mississippi River like it's a dumpster, and all that gets emptied into the Gulf. I guess we could use some Sulani conservationists down here.
So, I guess my favorite tropical destination is any tropical destination. It would be nice to see ocean water that isn't literally sewage before I die. (Sad trombone)
I would love to go to Puerto Rico where my husband's and sister's family is. They have some beautiful sites there! I have travel to most states, But this is one place I haven't gone yet and would love to!
