When I first made Josh for a friend a few years back I used shaggy hair which I thought suited him very well. I have played Josh recently in two different saves and used different hairstyles for each. Excuse the colour on the short and store hairs because I couldn't be bothered playing around with it and I made the colour specifically for the shaggy hair.

Which hair do you think suits Josh best.

Misread the title as “heir vote” at first. Ah, how wrong I was.

This is really just a matter of personal preference as I’m not the biggest fan of long hair on males. The shaggy hair is also too flashy for my taste (as are many CC female hairs). That particular short hair that you’ve chosen looks very handsome on Josh would you happen to know where it’s from?

Like TinySpaceFox, I prefer my males with shorter hair (though I do make exceptions for certain sims). That said, I prefer the shaggy hair to the store hair, but like the look of the short hair more overall.

Thanks for voting @afai1261 I prefer long hair on men IRL but not on men of my age! My own son had hair down to his butt until about a year ago (it's still reaches the middle of his back) and many of the males I knew in my youth had very long hair so I guess I got used to it.

I am saying go with shaggy look grunge style hair cause change his facial hair to a Van Dy*e and he has the Kurt Cobain look.

The top one is THE go to hairstyle for men right now I believe, but that shaggy look is my cup of tea. Be still my heart!

@ZeeGee I don't look at men anymore so I have no idea what the go to hairstyle would be I am also partial to the shaggy but it could be because that was how I originally made him, although his face has undergone CC slider surgery in recent times

Why would you? After playing the good looking sims in your game real life would be just a disappointment.

Side note: I work with a bunch of good looking young men with the top hairstyle. There is one young man who has long hair, not as shaggy as the style you pictured and a little longer. He is the one the girls all go nuts for!

@ZeeGee It can't only be the hair! I am sure the shaggy haired guy has something else going for him? Although I would totally have gone for the hair in my younger days

I use this hairstyle a lot in my games. It's one of my favorites.

(I like the shaggy hair the second best.)

Thanks for voting @GabbyGirlJ I admit I like the short hair (or I wouldn't have used it in a recent save) but I don't like the way it looks at the back or on profile so much so I find myself having to be careful when I take pics.

It took me a bit but I found a pic of Josh from the back showing that the hairline is very high and I find that annoys me.

I vote for shaggy most of the time, but short while getting ready for a formal occasion and until it "grows out" again.

@igazor Thanks for voting I wish sims hair did grow ... but, then again, I like low-maintenance sims

I voted for short hair, because I like short hair on men. But it depends on the character, which hair you should give him. If he is a neat and clean kind of guy, he should get the short hair, if he is chaotic and slobby, I would chose the shaggy one.
But the store hair is ugly, it looks like a helmet, as if he is Lancelot at war path.

I voted for shaggy as I liked that original look for him. I don't like the store hair at all. It needs a good cc creator to make it what it should be. It makes his forehead way too high. I think the longer shaggy look suits him best. I have the short hair and use it in my game on certain sims, but, it seems too perfect for Josh.
