Funny how a lot of things are missing yet people still like to convince us (the ones who are critical) that the Sims 4 is a complete game. Not a chance. No.
Ideally, those who like the game (and those who develop it as well) prefer people to view each base game as its own experience, where it does not need to go 1:1 with every little object and feature that the past games had.
Personally, I don't need every single little thing from each "missing items/features" list we can think of, but I do need whatever they are choosing to create to actually be fun, challenging, and replayable. So if we are going to scrap large features, an entire life stage, and whatever else upon release, the product itself should accommodate for what is missing from the past. As we've seen, it hasn't. DLC packs don't feel like they expand the game to a scale greater than past DLC packs of the earlier iterations.
The Sims 4 really just feels like it was created for the investors, not the players.
The ability to buy lottery tickets. I know there is an event where you can but this is like once a year and doesn't prove particularly fruitful for me. It's so hard to work up and save money and buy a better house I'd like to have that function back.
