I do hope something silly doesn't happen to Simon and Humara at the party. Like Simon finds interest in another gal or Humara finds interest in another guy...
After waiting a couple of minutes the bus arrived and the group where finally on their way towards the party. It was not a long bus journey and Doug's place was only a short walk from the bus stop. The area was mostly made up of what had at one time been large houses and now divided into separate bed sit type accommodation. The area was different to the more ordinary background that Nick and Simon where used to and there seemed to be something exciting about the area despite it being seen as seedy.
Once they arrived outside of where Doug lived Cassie rang the buzzer outside and Doug opened the door to let them in. The group followed Cassie up some stairs into the studio that Doug lived in. Doug was living with his girlfriend Frankie and the group both got along quite well with them. Doug did seem very keen to be involved with parties and his room was full of posters of various raves that he had been to.
'Shall we have some music on?' asked Frankie 'how about some House or Trance?
'Start with Trance and then play some Hard House a bit later,' suggested Doug.
'I think I might go for a walk,' said Tammy to Humara.
'Are you ok?' asked Humara.
'I will be ok,' replied Tammy feeling envious that she was the only person in the room who wasn't in a relationship with someone.
The flat that Doug lived in was in a large house not far from the seafront and Tammy thought about heading to the beach for some fresh air.
'I will be ok once I get fresh air,' thought Tammy to herself as she stepped out into the street and then crossed the road.
Tammy girl, I feel for ya. I really do. I remember those lonely single days well; where it felt like everyone else was in a relationship and it felt hopeless that you yourself would ever be in one (or find the right one for you).

Wes was notorious for playing pranks on other staffs and it seemed that Brett did not like him either. Simon was now missing working for Brenda.
For Nick however his placement with Brenda was going well and he got to hang out with Tammy, Humara and a few others during the morning break. The group had hoped to have another party with Doug but he was out of town for the weekend so they planned a night out with everyone instead.
'What shall we do next Saturday then?' Tammy asked Humara while they were in the canteen.
'I think that we should just go to town,' replied Humara 'It is a shame that Doug is away though,'
'Where has he gone?' Nicked asked her.
'To some rave I think,' replied Humara 'I think that he would have invited us but it was too late to buy tickets,'
'It would be good to have everyone go to town again,' added Tammy.
'Shall we invite everyone again?' suggested Humara.
'We could ask around,' replied Tammy 'it is a shame that Simon seems to work at the weekends though,'
'He can meet us in town I guess,' said Nick 'he works in town anyway,'
'Yes he can meet us there,' said Humara.
'How are things going with you both?' Tammy asked her.
'Quite good,' replied Humara.'
'Are you going out with him yet?' Nick asked her.
'Not yet,' replied Humara 'I don't want to rush into anything yet,'
'Does Leanda know that you are talking to him?' asked Nick.
'I don't know,' replied Humara 'She doesn't turn up here all the time anymore anyway,'
'I have seen her hanging around with people on other courses,' said Nick 'I think that she thinks that she is better than us,'
'Well she can think what she wants,' added Humara.
'I always thought that she was using Simon,' said Nick after a pause 'I mean it was funny how she went around saying that he was too clingy after meeting those guys,'
'I don't really know what happened to be honest,' said Humara 'Cassie said she was always going after guys,'
'You don't think that Simon is too clingy then?' Nick asked her.
'Don't know really,' she replied 'I hope not. He is not like that is he?'
'I don't know,' replied Nick 'I don't think that he has been with too many girls although they do seem to use that excuse,'
'What excuse?' Humara asked as Nick wondered if he put his foot into it.
'Well some people make excuses up I guess,' he replied.
'I think that you will both be fine,' added Tammy 'anyway make sure that we meet him after he finishes work on Saturday,'
'We he still goes to the skills centre on Friday,' said Humara.
'He said that he will come here on his day off,' said Nick.
'I don't know why he would give up his day off by coming here,' said Humara 'I think that he misses it,'
'Maybe to keep an eye on you!' joked Nick before he quickly wondered whether the joke was badly timed.
'No, I don't think that he would come in just to keep an eye on me,' replied Humara just as Brenda called Nick and Tammy back into the kitchen while Humara made her way back to her lesson.
'I will meet you later,' said Tammy.
'Okay, I will meet you outside,' replied Humara.
'See you later,' said Nick to her before he went back into the kitchen. He was envious of Simon for getting along with her so well but what did she really see in him? Nick would try to keep the jealous thoughts out of his mind but he could not deny that he also thought that Humara was good looking. Would there be a possibility that things might not work out for her and Simon?
When it was Saturday another night out had been organised but Simon had to attend his work placement. He hated the fact that he would have to meet everyone later but he knew better than trying to get the night off. These hours seemed to be permanent however so it was going to be a problem for a while.
Everyone else had the chance to meet at a bar in town before heading off towards a club. The arrangement was for Nick to meet Dorley and Jamie while Tammy, Humara, Megan, Anna and Cassie would meet them in town. For Simon the evening was going to be slow. It was busy in the kitchen but that did not make time go any faster. It was stressful and Simpson was in a foul mood. Brett had warned him at the start of the night that it was going to be busy as a function had been booked. The whole evening was testing and Simon just wanted to leave but he knew that he would have been in trouble if he just walked out.
When Simon finally got to leave work it was late and everyone was in the bar waiting for him. He wondered what he had been missing out on and was disappointed to see that Humara was sitting between Nick and Tammy and had not noticed him straight away.
Everyone in the group seemed to have been enjoying themselves so Simon went to the bar to buy himself a drink. He kept looking over to the group and felt annoyed that Nick was still talking to Humara. What was he playing at? Had this been going on all night?
Simon returned to the group with a drink for himself and one for Humara. She thanked him but was still talking to Nick seemingly laughing at all of his jokes. It seemed that everyone else in the group had no problem talking to Simon but he felt that Humara was just not interested in him.
Eventually everyone decided to head to the dance floor and Simon finally had the chance to talk to Humara more and she then seemed to be her normal self. He managed to make conversation about work and had hoped that he was just being paranoid about her being off with him. He managed to spend time with her for most of the evening but it was still not quite as it felt during the previous times that they had been out together. Nick was becoming an obstacle and Simon felt like Nick was watching him.
Simon asked Humara what she had planned during the week and had hoped to have another date with her. She seemed interested and then mentioned a plan for the following weekend. Everyone was going to go to the fairground but of course Simon would be working that night.
'So you are working next Saturday as well?' Humara asked Simon over the music.
'I think that I have to work every Saturday,' replied Simon.
'Oh, right,' replied Humara seeming annoyed.
'I cannot get out of it,' added Simon feeling disappointed.
'Well you could meet us later?' suggested Simon.
'Hopefully,' said Simon wondering if he would be better calling into work sick.
Simon decided to go to the bar to buy another drink and Humara asked him to buy one for her as well. He asked her if she would wait at the bar with him but she would have preferred to stay with the other girls. Simon waited at the bar with Dorley who was also buying a drink and after being served Simon returned to the group and sure enough Nick was again talking to Humara. Something was going on by the looks of things and Simon felt tense. He got the impression that Tammy and Megan had also noticed that Nick was getting to close as well as he caught Megan looking towards Nick disapprovingly and saying something to Tammy.
Poor Simon needs to quit thinking so much and just chat with Humara and make the best impression he can. If she likes him, no other guy will have a chance, because if she likes him she will wait for him to get off work and enjoy the time they have together. She might chat with other guys or have other guy friends and there is nothing wrong with that, but, if she really likes Simon and wants him to be special she will want that special time with him.
For the rest of the night Simon would continue to keep an eye on Nick and would try his hardest to talk to Humara. She seemed to have no problem with him but then she would be off him and turn her attention to Nick. Eventually Jamie mentioned to Simon that he had also noticed that Nick was getting too close with Humara.
'I thought that you were seeing Humara?' said Jamie casually while they were at the bar and Simon looked over to see Nick again talking to Humara.
'We are seeing each other,' said Simon but did not feel convinced himself.
'So what is Nick up to?' Jamie asked him.
'Not sure,' replied Simon.
'He is meant to be a mate to you?'
'Meant to be,' said Simon bluntly.
'Has he done stuff like this before?' Jamie asked.
'Not quite, but he does get obsessed with girls,' replied Simon.
'Be careful, he should know better,' said Jamie.
'Has he been talking to Humara all night?' Simon asked Jamie hoping to get more information.
'Pretty much, at first I did not notice much but he seems to be following her around all the time,' said Jamie.
'What has he said to her?' Simon asked.
'Not sure really,' replied Jamie 'but he has been trying to organise more nights out for us,'
'We are going to the fairground next week I heard?'
'Yes, that should be good,' added Jamie.
'Was that Nick's idea?' asked Simon.
'I think that it was,' replied Jamie.
Simon could see what was going on now. Nick was trying to take over and of course organise nights when Simon was meant to be at work. This would soon start to becoming a problem.
Luckily the rest of the night did not have too many problems although Simon continued to see Nick as a threat. At the end of the night everyone waited for a taxi which would mean that Humara would head home with Tammy, Megan would head back with Anna and the four guys shared a taxi. There was not much conversation with Simon and Nick but Jamie and Dorley managed to joke around which saved any arguments. Simon was glad to see the back on Nick evening and he managed to get a few texts off of Humara before he went to bed. They had still arranged to meet during the week but what he did not know was that Nick was also texting Humara and he was also hoping to meet up with her at some point. Humara was still in theory still single so would be free to meet up with anyone that she wanted. Nick knew this as well so he thought that he could soon be safe to make a move.
For the following week Simon would continue to have mixed reactions with Humara. She would usually text him back but he still felt that there was something different. It was all down to Nick. Although he was yet to hear of anything going on between them he was still suspicious of how much attention that Nick was giving her during the weekend and the day out at the fairground was not something that he was looking forward to either quite simply because he would be working and he would not be able to go to it until later. To make matters worse he had heard that it would be busy at work Saturday night so he would feel guilty trying to take the day off sick. One of the chefs was on holiday which would make things more strained. Things were going to be difficult for a while thought Simon.
On Thursday he went to the skills centre with the bus tickets that he had saved so that they could reimburse his travel expenses which was one of the benefits of the program and it gave him an excuse to go in and meet everyone. 'I have not seen her yet today,' replied Tammy 'I could text her if you want?'

'Well if anyone else is off sick I might have to ask you back!' joked Brenda.
'Why what happened?' asked Simon.
'Oh well, two of the adults who are meant to be helping me out tomorrow have been off sick all week and today Nick decides that he has a cold!'
'Nick not here then?' asked Simon.
'No, he was fine yesterday though,' said Brenda who then went to serve someone else.
'I think that Humara is off sick as well,' added Tammy 'she just text me,'

She seemed to be perfectly fine to decide to come back in the next day but was now not sure about meeting him? Jamie could tell that he seemed annoyed so came to the counter to see what was going on and Simon explained the situation to him.
'Well at least you will see her here tomorrow?' Jamie said 'maybe you could talk to her then?'
'I guess I will have to see how she is tomorrow,' said Simon.
He waited around during the rest of the morning break and then headed back home feeling disappointed. Before the previous weekend Humara would always be keen to see him but now she was acting different. Was Nick something to do with it? It then crossed his mind that Nick was also off sick. Was it possible that Nick and Humara had met up the previous night? Simon had been texting her the night before and she had told him that she was at home all evening. Of course they had met up although Simon did not know that yet but he knew that something was not right and he would spend the rest of the day feeling anxious.

Ok Nick, you may have feelings for Humara, but if she's seeing Simon than you need to do the mature thing and back off!

Fortunately Humara turned up to college the next day although did not mention much about being off the day before. Nick was also back and Simon watched them both closely although for most of the day he saw nothing suspicious going on. Humara seemed to be getting along well with him but it was still not quite as it was before. He would make conversation with her but then feel like he would say the wrong thing or that he was being boring. Pretty much everyone had decided that they will be going to the fairground the next day and of course Simon would end up going there late.
For the rest of Friday evening and into Saturday Simon would text Humara as usual and was still confused about how she felt about him. She liked the idea of him meeting her at the funfair but Simon was anxious about what would happen while he was not there. He did not know that Nick was texting her and that Nick seemed to be organising everything. The idea was similar to the nights out where Nick would meet a few of the guys while Humara would be with Tammy and would meet a few of the girls. Simon also had another annoyance to deal with as Brett was also off work sick as well so it would be likely and even later finish for him. The night would be long and Simon would spend most of the evening checking his phone as often as he could but Humara was not texting him.
When he finally finished later that evening the first thing he did was jump into a taxi and head to the seafront fairground which was open all year round. He sent a text to Humara to let her know that he was on her way. By that time most of the group had been at the fairground for a couple of hours although some rides where opening late.
@king_of_simcity7 Well, I would have hoped Humara would have gotten a warning about Nick from the other girls considering what he did to one of them. But, some girls wouldn't listen anyways. They think they can fix a boy!
Hopefully if Simon really cares about her he will be there to pick up the pieces if Nick runs true to his previous actions.
@bekkasan Remember Humara and Stacy do not talk because of what happened between them when they were younger. Humara got with Stacy's boyfriend which would be a warning for Simon although he does not know that of course.
Stacy has been quiet at the moment but she will appear more soon. I have just finished writing part 20. I will need more pictures but it was tense writing it!
I didn't say Stacy would tell her. The other girls and guys all knew what happened with Nick. You would think one of them would warn her. She might not care what happened but would be ticked at her so called friends if they didn't warn her about someone like Nick.

Simon asked Humara what she had planned during the week and had hoped to have another date with her. She seemed interested and then mentioned a plan for the following weekend. Everyone was going to go to the fairground but of course Simon would be working that night.
'So you are working next Saturday as well?' Humara asked Simon over the music.
'I think that I have to work every Saturday,' replied Simon.
'Oh, right,' replied Humara seeming annoyed.
'I cannot get out of it,' added Simon feeling disappointed.
'Well you could meet us later?' suggested Simon.
'Hopefully,' said Simon wondering if he would be better calling into work sick.
Simon decided to go to the bar to buy another drink and Humara asked him to buy one for her as well. He asked her if she would wait at the bar with him but she would have preferred to stay with the other girls. Simon waited at the bar with Dorley who was also buying a drink and after being served Simon returned to the group and sure enough Nick was again talking to Humara. Something was going on by the looks of things and Simon felt tense. He got the impression that Tammy and Megan had also noticed that Nick was getting to close as well as he caught Megan looking towards Nick disapprovingly and saying something to Tammy.
Poor Simon needs to quit thinking so much and just chat with Humara and make the best impression he can. If she likes him, no other guy will have a chance, because if she likes him she will wait for him to get off work and enjoy the time they have together. She might chat with other guys or have other guy friends and there is nothing wrong with that, but, if she really likes Simon and wants him to be special she will want that special time with him.

For the rest of the night Simon would continue to keep an eye on Nick and would try his hardest to talk to Humara. She seemed to have no problem with him but then she would be off him and turn her attention to Nick. Eventually Jamie mentioned to Simon that he had also noticed that Nick was getting too close with Humara.
'I thought that you were seeing Humara?' said Jamie casually while they were at the bar and Simon looked over to see Nick again talking to Humara.
'We are seeing each other,' said Simon but did not feel convinced himself.
'So what is Nick up to?' Jamie asked him.
'Not sure,' replied Simon.
'He is meant to be a mate to you?'
'Meant to be,' said Simon bluntly.
'Has he done stuff like this before?' Jamie asked.
'Not quite, but he does get obsessed with girls,' replied Simon.
'Be careful, he should know better,' said Jamie.
'Has he been talking to Humara all night?' Simon asked Jamie hoping to get more information.
'Pretty much, at first I did not notice much but he seems to be following her around all the time,' said Jamie.
'What has he said to her?' Simon asked.
'Not sure really,' replied Jamie 'but he has been trying to organise more nights out for us,'
'We are going to the fairground next week I heard?'
'Yes, that should be good,' added Jamie.
'Was that Nick's idea?' asked Simon.
'I think that it was,' replied Jamie.
Simon could see what was going on now. Nick was trying to take over and of course organise nights when Simon was meant to be at work. This would soon start to becoming a problem.
Luckily the rest of the night did not have too many problems although Simon continued to see Nick as a threat. At the end of the night everyone waited for a taxi which would mean that Humara would head home with Tammy, Megan would head back with Anna and the four guys shared a taxi. There was not much conversation with Simon and Nick but Jamie and Dorley managed to joke around which saved any arguments. Simon was glad to see the back on Nick evening and he managed to get a few texts off of Humara before he went to bed. They had still arranged to meet during the week but what he did not know was that Nick was also texting Humara and he was also hoping to meet up with her at some point. Humara was still in theory still single so would be free to meet up with anyone that she wanted. Nick knew this as well so he thought that he could soon be safe to make a move.
Well, looks like Humara is enjoying the attention of the two boys.

For the following week Simon would continue to have mixed reactions with Humara. She would usually text him back but he still felt that there was something different. It was all down to Nick. Although he was yet to hear of anything going on between them he was still suspicious of how much attention that Nick was giving her during the weekend and the day out at the fairground was not something that he was looking forward to either quite simply because he would be working and he would not be able to go to it until later. To make matters worse he had heard that it would be busy at work Saturday night so he would feel guilty trying to take the day off sick. One of the chefs was on holiday which would make things more strained. Things were going to be difficult for a while thought Simon.
On Thursday he went to the skills centre with the bus tickets that he had saved so that they could reimburse his travel expenses which was one of the benefits of the program and it gave him an excuse to go in and meet everyone. He arrived at the canteen during the morning break and saw that Tammy was working and he asked her if she had seen Humara that day.
'I have not seen her yet today,' replied Tammy 'I could text her if you want?'
'If you want,' replied Simon who then saw Brenda appear by the counter and she made conversation with him.
'I hope things are going well on your new placement?' Brenda asked him.
'Not too bad thanks,' replied Simon who would rather not talk about it.
'Well if anyone else is off sick I might have to ask you back!' joked Brenda.
'Why what happened?' asked Simon.
'Oh well, two of the adults who are meant to be helping me out tomorrow have been off sick all week and today Nick decides that he has a cold!'
'Nick not here then?' asked Simon.
'No, he was fine yesterday though,' said Brenda who then went to serve someone else.
'I think that Humara is off sick as well,' added Tammy 'she just text me,'

'They went out with Anna and a guy that Anna knows,' said Tammy 'She did invite me but I told her that I would not go out when I have to be hear the next day.
Jamie also seemed annoyed as he had always liked Anna and was curious to who it was that she had met up with. Simon soon got a text back from Humara who told him that she was off that day but should be okay to come in the next day. Simon then asked her if they were still free to meet the following evening but Humara told him that she would let him know. Simon's heart dropped. She seemed to be perfectly fine to decide to come back in the next day but was now not sure about meeting him? Jamie could tell that he seemed annoyed so came to the counter to see what was going on and Simon explained the situation to him.
'Well at least you will see her here tomorrow?' Jamie said 'maybe you could talk to her then?'
'I guess I will have to see how she is tomorrow,' said Simon.
He waited around during the rest of the morning break and then headed back home feeling disappointed. Before the previous weekend Humara would always be keen to see him but now she was acting different. Was Nick something to do with it? It then crossed his mind that Nick was also off sick. Was it possible that Nick and Humara had met up the previous night? Simon had been texting her the night before and she had told him that she was at home all evening. Of course they had met up although Simon did not know that yet but he knew that something was not right and he would spend the rest of the day feeling anxious.
Oh boy, not the "too clingy" talk again...
Ok Nick, you may have feelings for Humara, but if she's seeing Simon than you need to do the mature thing and back off!
I'm really pulling for Simon and Humara to have a wonderful relationship!

I echo what bekkasan said, if her back was turned to the door there's no way she would see when Simon entered. He needs to casually join the group and then shoot her a smile.

Take it from me Simon: The right girl for you, who's really interested in you, will not mind you having to work when all the fun is going on. In fact she will wait for you and not be annoyed by it. Remember that.
So if Humara is annoyed that you actually have a responsible adult life...some alarms should be going off in your head.
Go Megan! Tell Humara that she needs to back away from Nick and pay attention to Simon! Or better yet, tell Nick to back off!

Hmm...I get the feeling that since Humara isn't committed to Simon, and now with Nick in the picture, she's "playing the field." Seeing who she likes better and will go from there. Inadvertently hurting Simon in the process...

Fortunately Humara turned up to college the next day although did not mention much about being off the day before. Nick was also back and Simon watched them both closely although for most of the day he saw nothing suspicious going on. Humara seemed to be getting along well with him but it was still not quite as it was before. He would make conversation with her but then feel like he would say the wrong thing or that he was being boring. Pretty much everyone had decided that they will be going to the fairground the next day and of course Simon would end up going there late.
For the rest of Friday evening and into Saturday Simon would text Humara as usual and was still confused about how she felt about him. She liked the idea of him meeting her at the funfair but Simon was anxious about what would happen while he was not there. He did not know that Nick was texting her and that Nick seemed to be organising everything. The idea was similar to the nights out where Nick would meet a few of the guys while Humara would be with Tammy and would meet a few of the girls. Simon also had another annoyance to deal with as Brett was also off work sick as well so it would be likely and even later finish for him. The night would be long and Simon would spend most of the evening checking his phone as often as he could but Humara was not texting him.
When he finally finished later that evening the first thing he did was jump into a taxi and head to the seafront fairground which was open all year round. He sent a text to Humara to let her know that he was on her way. By that time most of the group had been at the fairground for a couple of hours although some rides where opening late.
@king_of_simcity7 Well, I would have hoped Humara would have gotten a warning about Nick from the other girls considering what he did to one of them. But, some girls wouldn't listen anyways. They think they can fix a boy!
Hopefully if Simon really cares about her he will be there to pick up the pieces if Nick runs true to his previous actions.
