I started playing very late into 2017 when I got the game as a Christmas present from my dad. I immediately started spending almost all of my time on the computer, especially when stuff was getting hard. I’ve been playing a lot more lately because I’m having problems with life and this happens to be the perfect distraction.

That's exactly when I put all of my time and effort into The Sims. Hard times.
I have been playing since November 2014. I started with the sims 4, then the richer gameplay in ts3 teased me and I was playing the two of them for a couple of months, but ts4 graphics won and now I play only ts4.😄
Longtime offline player here, but I had the gallery and my blog open along with the game a lot for the last month. As a result my tracked playtime shot up by 100 hours. That would amount to at least 5,300 hours since release.
Just over 6,000. But I have this habit of opening the game and leaving it running for days even though I'm not playing it. I think at most a third of that number is me actually playing the game.
According to Origin it's currently 3544. I've played the game since release. I play almost daily and have had few periods where I didn't play the game for a longer period of time. But, I don't normally get in that many hours on weekdays. In weekends I spend more time on the Sims, unless I have other things to do - which happens a lot. And since I got dual monitors I do leave the game open while doing other stuff, more than I used to I suppose (so glad to not have to use alt+tab anymore).
I was kind of late to the party with Sims 4, I was always a big Sim City and civilisation fan but I've been enjoying it since I got back to playing it properly
Spent around 2,000 hours in TS4 since around mid 2015, it's my second most played but absolute favorite game. Half of those hours I got stuck in build mode.
The origin counter says 839 been playing since July 2017, but I'd say a bit more around 860 or 880 due to me playing offline. because of several times of not wanting to update just yet.

Edit: DIE Sims 4
LOL @ the unfortunate artikel for the name of the game. Why couldn't it be 'der sims' or 'das sims'?
I've played 2693 on the laptop I currently use, but on the old one I probably played around 1000 hours.
30,000 hours? How is that even possible?
