Deco items will mot place - SOLVED

I created a new layer to place trees, selected the tree I wanted and nothing. It doesn't show up at all. I tried other game objects, lights, rocks anything. Tried with the grid off and on. Nothing would place down. Not even visible. I uninstalled, and reinstalled, rebooted my computer. Still not working. Is there something I am missing?
