Are stuff packs still a thing? Well somehow we should get an update to books/writing with some new features and maybe new objects. Added to a university expansion could be cool.
•Choose the appearance/book covers of any books your sims write: choose from any designs already in game + color and pattern options.
•Order books your sims have written (and books they’ve written should be saved with your sims when you start a new game or upload them to the gallery)
•New ways to write- Typewriters and pen/paper objects for sims to practice writing, write books, and write letters.
•Librarian active career- Work at a library venue, complete daily tasks, unlock social interactions and objects.
•New Rare Books Collection- Collect unique looking books that can teach skills quickly.
•6 sided game table- (for libraries or homes) Up to six sims can play cards, a board game, a fantasy role playing game (like dungeons and dragons), solve puzzles, contact the dead with a ouji board, do homework/study together, or use it as a regular six sided table.
•A new globe object for sims to spin with fun fact notifications like the stump object from TS2 Bon Voyage.
•Read in bed interaction.

Also, it'd be nice if reading books gained some skill for kids? It's weird to me that it doesn't. I think kids should gain either creative or mental skill depending on the book, and also get frustrated more easily if they're reading "above their reading level." And this should carry over to being read to as well; like, the mental kid's aspiration has "read with an adult" as a requirement, but that does NOTHING to build the mental skill, or do anything at all, and mostly seems like a waste of time, lol. Toddlers gain imagination, but kids get nothing out of books or from being read to. It's a bummer.
Lastly, I think it'd be cool if Sims reacted to non-skill books the way they did with movies oor something. Like, different sims would like different types of books, find some boring, that kind of thing. I dunno, just something that makes the non skill and emotion books no completely interchangeable, lol.

Awesome ideas! And building on your your book shelf idea, we should also get book shelves that actually display the books you place on them (instead of the generic books that are on most bookshelves)! (This could work like bookshelves in elder scroll’s Skyrim)
