Friday Highlight February 1st - A week on The Sims forums

Sul sul and welcome to the first Friday Highlight of February!

Time goes fast, right? Tell The Sims about it! In just a few days we will be celebrating 19 years of craziness and fun with our dear little Sims! -A tip: if you have been a Simmer for a long time, try not to think too much about how short all those years feel-

We will be hosting a Maxis Monthly for the occasion - you will find a thread with the live-stream on the forums in case you want to watch it with us here

And what happened this week? A patch that many console players were looking forward to: terrain manipulation, first person camera, and more are now available also available on PS4 & Xbox One!

But that's not the only thing we have been discussing on the forums. Last week I invited you to meet at a karaoke bar built by @emere for the Friday Highlight. When I saw the following screenshot, I realized we didn't have enough chairs for everyone in that lot, so please, let me make up that mistake. Take a seat in the following majestic theater built by @king_of_simcity7 and let me show you some of the great topics I came across this week:

• First question of this week comes directly from @Simmerville's computer -crossing fingers they don't post from a mobile phone and make me look bad-: 'Do you upgrade old homes and Sims with new pack content?'. Does Willow Creek feel too base gamey for you?
• While we are revamping things, consider which lots that come with the game end up being destroyed most often. Adapt or die, right? @CorkysPetals is curious about which lots are most often victim of your demolisher in 'Which premade lots do you always replace?'. Come share your preferences!
• Moving on to Live Mode, let's discuss children! If you are challenging yourself with the '100 baby challenge', you might not have a clear number of children your Sims should have in mind. That's @izecson's dilemma this week in 'How do you decide when enough is enough?'. Whatever you do, I wouldn't recommend having more than 3 toddlers at the same time - that's when enough is enough!
• When all those children toys end up unused, it might be time to start thinking of selling them. @JennCsimmer is asking the community this week what you prefer in 'Yard sale vs retail store'. Any tips to share?
• Aaaand... last but not least! While we are playing the vs game: 'Laundromat vs. laundry on the lot: which do you prefer?' is an excelent poll @thuggishsplicer opened in The Sims 3 section this week. And unlike in real life - ignoring laundry is a choice!

OMG I totally agree that three toddlers is too much, except if your household has three adults.

No, Get to Work was the new Ambitions EP, but I agree, an architect career would be nice.

Cars will probably never happen in TS4 and unless they make babies more interactable, strollers will be useless.

@king_of_simcity7 Congratulations on the mention! It looks like a great lot :) The poll created in the Sims 3 thread about laundry made me think. Would it be possible to build a laundry mat? I think it would be fun to own one like a retail space - just sayin' ;)
