Issues Concerning Logging Into Origin

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the correct area for this question or not, but here goes. I need to know something here; why is it that I can log into the community using my current pw, but I can't log into Origin w/that same pw? It keeps saying that it is "incorrect or expired" neither of which is true. Could somebody who knows Origin please help? I'd like to do a repair on my game, but can't as long as I can't log in. Thanks!
