Sure... After all, it's opposite seasons in the Southern Hemisphere. :D

It depends on how you look at it. If you come from the Southern Hemisphere, then we are the ones with "opposite seasons."

I feel sorry for those who must live in places where the seasons never really change and it's "nice" all of the time. How can you tell that it's "nice" if you have nothing to compare it to? ;)

I am probably the least Christmassy person I know but I will be checking out the pics because, when all is said and done, I love sim pics :)

@igazor I can tell you that, personnally, you get bored! :) Feeling the first warmth after a long, cold winter is something money can't pay! I've moved around some, born in Sweden, then France and then Africa. I lived for several years in one of the hottest (literally) places of the planet, where at noon in the freshest season the temperature hovered around 96.8F (36C). In summer, of course, it was 129F (54C). It was a Muslim country, so the Christmas spirit was not exactly present. After the "charms" of sipping cocktails on the beach and snorkeling in the Indian Ocean (water around 96F) on Christmas Eve, we rapidly turned Christmas off at home and escaped to celebrate the holidays in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, which are also Muslim but more tourist friendly, and where we spent a few fantastic Christmases. Without snow and cold though, if you don't count the AC and the ski slopes in the Mall of the Emirates... All this might sound uppity, but I prefer my childhood Christmases over anything!

It is Christmas in Twin Towns, more precisely at the Grey's in Crooked Bayou Swamp! Taïga gets a special delivery...

Since I won't have much time to pull out the game and play this Christmas since I'm going to be doing a lot of packing: My Christmas photo will just be a real-life shot of this:

My sims don't really celebrate Christmas because I'm always stuck deciding whether I want them to have it in Summer or Winter. I did throw a little party for Clarissa when I played her in Lucky Palms earlier this year though.

LOVE this thread! And anything Christmas! I must contribute!

I'm currently working on a short, romantic Christmas story on the sims, but let me find my Christmassy pics from last year and share. (Until I have the ones from this year available. :) )

Here's one I'd forgotten about from my very early "taking pictures" simming days. :)

    Here we go.

And here is the lady of the house, Jessica. :) @CravenLestat is sure to remember her. ;)

oh, I love all of these pictures. I'd post some but I don't have any Christmas-ey decor in my game to save up on CC space. lol. So i'm enjoying it vicariously through all the pics from everyone else's games :D

Y'all got me feeling super-festive now with all those happy Christmases.

But my sim, she is so evil. How am I going to make winter holiday fun look evil?
  • jaletu2005jaletu2005 Posts: 534 Member
Oooh @VexingQuery that could be tons of fun! Your Sim can probably make the grim reaper snowman and you can recolor ribbons black. Some of the other Christmas decor is also recolorable so you could use red, black or that fire pattern. Could be a high old time! You could use other decor too like the voodoo doll!

    And the lights are up.

Meanwhile, IRL, I've had a tree up but not decorated for 2 weeks because it's too much work lol (It is prelit though and really pretty just as it is). Sims Christmas is just more important lol. And Evie and Alex are just extra lol, so no way I could let a Christmas pass without decorating, not just decorating, but one-upping the previous year.
