I guess it's safe to say this game truly messed itself up. I'm missing a Sim and I had sent one of them in my household off to China, then she disappeared from the control panel. Great. So then I tried going to edit town, game froze so I force closed it and "repaired" it via Origin (whatever that consists of), now it's asking where I want to rent for this term (like I'm at University) but I'm in China!

I have a love/hate relationship with this game...

Repairing the game only fixes the Origin and Launcher tie-ins to it with TS3, it doesn't do anything for the actual game files or saved ongoing games.

Are you using mods by any chance? NRaas Traveler will ask where would you like to stay this term even when the destination is not Uni World and the obvious choices would be a Base Camp or Vacation Home. It's a harmless text glitch. I don't think I've ever heard of it happening in a game without mods, though.
