What is the "Extra" folder

I've read several places and many articles about using CAW and SuperCAW. When using SuperCAW it is said that to include various environment files you place them in a sub-folder named "Config". I have done this and have no problems changing any cloud, sky, water, moon, etc. It is also said that any other item you want to include in your world should be placed in a folder named "Extra". I have never tried using this.

The problem is I find no information on this folder except one blurb about being in S3 format.

Exactly what is this folder used for?
Can it be used to include objects like clothing, other CC, etc.?
How do you use it? Examples?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

If I read it right, one is read by CAW and the other is read by Super CAW. Config with the ini game names and Extra with the exported ini file names.
