Ambient Ceiling Lights

I'm trying to make a starter home for my sims and to share in the gallery, so I want content that's not hidden to someone who downloads (no secret stuff). I'm not opposed to using things pack or expansion specific, I just don't want mods or CC, etc. Anyway, in the penthouse in city living there's an ambient ceiling light. I also noticed it in a lot I downloaded. Where and how do you get these? it shows as a $0 cost, so it would be very helpful in a starter home!

Do you mean like an invisible light? I think you can get those in debug mode.

ctrl + shift + c
type in the cheat bar testingcheats on
Then press enter
Then type in the cheat bar bb.showhiddenobjects
Then press enter
The ambient lights should be in lighting misc.

@Pamtastic72 Thank you! If I used that in a build, would the downloader need 'bb.showhiddenobjects' enabled? Or would they just not see where the additional light was coming from if 'bb.showhiddenobjects' was not enabled in their game?

thankfully, no they wouldn't have to enable the cheat, even without it enabled you'll be able to view those ambient lights in build mode and move them around. in live mode, they'd be invisible and just give off 'mysterious' light. the cheat is only to see the things and place them the first time, and a lot of builders use it to place things like collectibles and such around to give builds specific feels, since those are also hidden behind it. like i've used it to put a few sugar skulls and a fake selvadoradan artifact into the apartment of a mexican sim i've got

now, if you do wind up using bb.moveobjects cheat, you should probably mention that one when uploading, because some of the objects that is used on will either disappear or drop to a lower level if the lot is placed without it turned on

basically, while 'showhiddenobjects' is really secret stuff, it's all in the game already, so when placed on a lot and said lot is uploaded to the gallery, it's just normal stuff
