LTW Firefighter Superhero

So I let one of my Sims have a non-rabbit hole job of fireman. He was able to change his LTW to be a firefighter superhero. It says to accomplish that, he has to save 30 lives. So far, with only 6 days to "adult", he hasn't saved one life. I am making sure I follow him on his job and he responds to all emergencies.

Why is it he hasn't saved any lives?

I think only large fires count towards saving lives, although it's been a while since I played the career. Is he getting those jobs yet?

If so, you use MC (with MC cheats add-on) to change his LTW back and forth (NRaas > MC > (sim) > Intermediate > Lifetime Wish, or change the count a couple of times (MC > Advanced > LTW: Change Tally) to try to unstick things, with MC resets afterwards.

From what I understand the Firefighter career was glitchy without mods and still has issues with mods. It is one of the few I have not tried. I know you don't use mods so he might have a hard time getting his LTW. Good luck.

The OP isn't using mods. But yes, there aren't any lives to save on the smaller house fires. The LTW is referring to scenarios where you have to dig out and carry a sim stuck under rubble or trapped by something out of a burning house or one experiencing a gas leak, etc., to save them. Those come with the large fires, earthquakes, meteors, and other such disasters at the higher job levels of the career. What job level is he at?

On a completely unrelated topic my house is weird. First there was a fire. Then my characters mum died. And now the Grim Reaper is chilling in my house.

Level 6 I think. It seems he's only getting promotions because his skills are raising (athletic and handiness). Sounds like a bad choice of LTW. I'll have to change it again if he is to have his fulfilled (and I want him to because he's a legacy spouse and will live out his life in the family house).

It´s a difficult LTW on a normal lifespan, because it´s plain buggy. I´ve played it twice so far, and both times they reached level 10 of their career way before rescueing those 30 sims, because the game just didn´t gave them the opportunity to do so. Or it wasn´t possible to finish the job, or the job simply disappeared, leaving the lot frozen. I got there in the end, but I was playing on epic lifespan.
Also, do not move to a different world, it resets the counter.

I believe saving lives is rescuing sims from rubble, convincing them to run, carrying children out of the building.
I don't believe putting out the fire is considered saving lives.I never had to "save" sims on small fires.Earthquakes and large house fires are where I do most of my "saving".

I guess my Sim has just been "unlucky" as the only things he's been responding to are a couple of small fires and an invasion of llamas (?????). Perhaps I'll try that LTW again some time with another Sim. My Sims only have normal life spans and I'm not sure that will work for this LTW. Thanks everyone for explaining. It's been driving me crazy(er).
