So I had an epiphany in the middle of one project and thought, why do
my Sims brush their teeth? There’s no consequences, no gameplay, no
dread of the dentist office, no judgment for those cavities! So I casually…
or not so casually… slipped this new idea in the middle of another project
with the wonderful Sandy who didn’t bat at an eye and here we present to
you: Dental Care! Now your sim can get cavities, have bad breath, need
and receive braces, toddlers can teeth and teens can have wisdom teeth
extracted, and everyone can enjoy a trip to the dentist (hah)!
So there’s a lot of activities floating around but they’re mostly for YA and up. I wanted to focus on some activities for the youth of the sims - toddlers, children, and teens. Not that teens can’t do what adults and tried really hard to add some specific ones I haven’t seen, yet. Sometimes you just need sims to go off, work on skills, and fill some needs while you play with other members of the household. There’s no shame in that!
These are all rabbithole activities. They are available both on the phone under “Travel” or on the computer under “Household”. They last anywhere from 45 minutes to 5 hours and all receive a buff (some new, some game buffs they’d receive if they did that activity in game), and some receive extra goodies in your sim’s inventory(like a new toy or a carved pumpkin or some artwork). In keeping with my capitalist society of sims, all the classes cost something and the entertainment venue (sporting arena, water park, etc.) charge nominal entrance fees. Hanging out at the mall has the chance to spend money as well.
