Oh it's a PIG! A ninja pig? I thought it was a really demented fish head.
Ya know, it really doesn't matter what it is it's pretty creepy!
I wonder if it's always been in the game or if it's from Seasons or something. LOL. Seems very Spooky Day-ish.
Hehe, the pig is actually a piece of CC I made as a recolour of the pig statue.
Ninjapig used to accompany @eXokamikaze and steal/raid everyone’s food in the Writers’ Lounge. Then when this cc got made, she ended up hiding in a lot of peoples games/builds
That is unbelievably entertaining!
Speaking of entertaining...I'm just past halfway through Fangs at the moment and absolutely loving it!

i remember that. we used to put locks on the fridge but she always found a way in.
Okay, I don't know if this ruins or elevates my perspective on Byron but...
Ever since Penny acknowledged that Byron says her name strangely I think of how Sheldon says Penny's name in Big Bang Theory. Now, no matter the situation, this is how I imagine him saying her name! The word just comes out like a quick and sharp sound as if someone is saying "full stop" at the end of a sentence.
@LadyLobster Can you describe how Bryon is supposed to say her name, or does that come up later?
Just happened upon 2 passages that I needed to point out here.
From chapter 49:
I was surprised when he wrapped both hands around my waist and lifted me off his lap, setting me down on the bed right beside him. Sometimes I forgot he was a vampire, with a vampire’s strength. I wondered if Lysander was like that with Bianca.
From chapter 50:
Miss Bianca caught me before the floor could.
The two passages in context to each other is so well done LadyLobster! Up until this point, the strength difference vampires and humans hasn't really come up. When Penny first thought this, I found the situation so attractive. As a very little person I really like a strong guy
Then with the second passage, even though the situation doesn't call for it and I'm sure it's not going to go well, I actually find it incredibly sweet! For Lysander to be the butler in distress is such an adorable idea.
Anyway, just had to praise your writing here. There've been a few other passages I really love as well but I'd have to go back and search to find them.

@LadyLobster Started Fangs for the Memories. Short chapters! Love ‘em. I write short ones, too. Only have read chapter one, but know I’ll get hooked already.
Cracked up at Byron’s audience for his comedy routine.
@Karilan Butler in distress! I love that. rofl. I had a lot of fun playing with PoVs and the vampire-human differences. Thank you for the praise!!
@LegacySims2017 Two of Byron's traits are goofball and childish. I thought they suited him well! And I hope you don't mind when the chapters get longer... Glad you liked chapter one though!!

Hopefully I’ll have enough read to contribute something.

@LegacySims2017 If you already know you'll be hooked based on Ch. 1, you definitely won't mind when the chapters get a bit longer . I had some extra free time lately... a lot of which I spent absolutely tearing through @LadyLobster's fabulous series. I went from Fangs for the Memories Ch. 1 to fully caught up with Broomsticks in like 2 weeks
From the town's first community lot to each household and rabbit hole, watch the stories unfold... Rebuilding Appaloosa Plains Prologue & Chapters 1-18 out now!
Origin ID: Mourning-Stars | Simming since 2000

I was able to get through chapter 3 at work now. I'll do some light reading before bed each night as well. At work, if I'm stuck in the basement dealing with phone calls from people, I can binge a lot. I did that with @Karilan's How To Live With Grace series. I'm sure I'll get a lot read for discussion.

Just finished Fangs! It took about a week I think? I accidentally used a lot of my data reading on the train before I discovered how to download webpages as pdfs haha!
@LadyLobster absolutely loved it, and all the happy endings! (pun intended) Can't wait for discussions to start!

the title is clever.
still no glasses by the time i get them we will have moved on. but kar feels bad and answers my questions. which is fair i saw a giant rat because of her. lol.
@Morningstar So much Fangs in so short a time! I'm so glad you found it through book club.
@Karilan So sorry about your data! My screenshots are huge, I remember not resizing them early in Fangs but originally I went back and resized a bunch of them because they kept breaking a lot of people's phone browsers. Oops! Happy you enjoyed all the happy endings though.
It's Monday where I am, so that means it's early Coffee Hour time!!! Where we will be discussing the amazing piece of SimLit that is @LadyLobster 's Fangs for the Memories.
For the longest time, Fangs was on my radar as something that I wanted to read, but I was put off because there was already one full generation and about 60 chapters of the second generation already written. Well, a few months back I bit the bullet and started the journey and boy was I happy that I did, I think I caught up in 2, maybe three days and it is now a story that I look forward to every single chapter.
Before we get to the questions, I want to do something fun for everyone... A little "Fangs related game" you could say. Channel your inner Byron, and share with us all a Raccoon gif or picture/meme, and a bad Vampire joke/pun.
I'll get the ball rolling:
Last Halloween, I went to a party dressed as Dracula and ate all the food.
I was Vampire the Buffet Slayer.
Okay, questions time!!! I'll start with a few for the readers, and then follow them up with a few for @LadyLobster herself.
For the Readers:
1. Fangs for the Memories has so many unique characters, each one awesome in their own right, but if you had to choose one, who would be your favourite character?
2. The Blackwell Family Curse... What did you think it was before the reveal? (Please place your answer behind a spoiler tag in case people haven't gotten to that stage in the story yet.)
3. Was there a character that you just couldn't connect with? If so, why?
For LadyLobster:
1. Vampires are an incredibly popular genre, but I can imagine that they can be quite a pain to work within the confines of the game for screenshot purposes; are there any Quality of Life mods that you could recommend for other Author's that may be considering starting up or improving their own Vampire story?
2. Apart from the fact that they're incredibly cute, why Raccoons? (It's totally okay if that is the only reason! )
3. The Blackwell siblings are such wonderful characters with such interesting chemistry between the two of them! Byron is just like a kid that's been let loose in a candy store, never losing that youthful exuberance; whereas Bianca is lost in her own little world of butlers, gift-cards and properness. What was your favourite sibling moment to write/screenshot?
For the Readers again:
If you have your own questions to ask the readers and/or LadyLobster, please do so, or if you just want to discuss portions of the story that really stood out to you, that's welcome also. If it is sections that are mid to late in the story, I ask that you chuck the comment behind a spoiler tag, just for safety.

That is unbelievably entertaining!

My hubby causes chaos in How To Live With Grace - - Pine Point tells Miranda Cole's survival tale - - Criminals build legacies in Glassbolt Prison
i remember that. we used to put locks on the fridge but she always found a way in.
@Karilan I'm so glad!
She even got her own Short Story
Ninjapig and the Foodie Five Vs. The Meatball Menagerie
But that is beside the point... Fangs, amazing, yes?
Byron would totally watch that show.

@Karilan LOL, he just says it a lot and by itself, but definitely slower than that. He savors it.
Yep, before that realization I imagined him saying it kind of slow and dreamy - every time!
