I wanted to play tonight and then all of a sudden decided to place an unfinished mall I built a couple of years ago in my world. After which I spent the whole evening finishing it of course Before closing I took this screenshot.
There's a pastry shop, a boutique, a wine shop, a baby shop, a greengrocery, a toy store, a laundromat, a pet shop, a florist shop, a music store and an antique shop.
Great screenshots, everyone! I really enjoy seeing a bit of what everyone else is doing in their Sims 3. Here is the last screenshot I posted in my story update.
Dustin came up to Ava with a goofy grin on his face. "For you, my lady," he said as he presented her with roses. "Oh, Mr. Langerak, they're beautiful. Thank you so much!" Dustin continued to smile at her with that goofy grin. Even that goofy grin of his is cute, she thought. She was really going to like this place.
Finished the mall, bought the place and sent my sim there to fix the bridal department in the boutique. It's clear the mall is an instant success, townies come from everywhere to take a look.
I'd just changed the mannequins into wedding dresses when the game crashed
This is what that corner ought to look like:
(unfortunately the mannequins don't preserve the clothes when you save the shop to the library)
The last screenie I took was a sim ( wearing a really ugly shirt ) that's going to be chucked onto an island with 5 other sims, with nothing except 2 huts and a community workplace, and forced to live out their lives as best they can.
Thanks for the compliments I'm planning to proudly share pictures of the interior and of course I can upload it, but I fear the crashing might have something to do with the size (or maybe staffing all the cash registers...?). Saving takes ages since I placed it in my world and it also takes quite some time to render (a problem I don't have usually). That being said: it could also be an unfortunate combination with IP because when I placed it in Bridgeport it didn't cause issues. I'll see if it happens again.
@king_of_simcity7 Thank you for your sympathy! It s..c..k..s when the game crashes and you lose hours of building and decorating! But it was all my fault, I dind´t remember to save earlier!
@AlexaKry I keep building and gameplay separate and always try to save the progress to the bin for backup. I have lost good builds before as well so learnt the hard way!
@king_of_simcity7 : yes, normally I do this, too, but I just wanted to grant a wish of one of my Sims and then discovered that I didn´t painted the ceiling, and then I discovered that I haven´t place a dog house, and then.... yousee, I was completely distracted! And the game went so smooth that I forgot to save! My fault!
@Pary His ugly shirt will probably be the last of his upcoming problems! The idea sounds interesting, and it will be nice to see how it works out for them!
The whole idea of the annual camping trip is about cohesion. To bring the class closer together and is usually a gamble that pays off. The kids always grumble in the beginning when they aren’t allowed to choose teammates, but mixing the teams is a good idea and at when they start out on the hike to Mont Corbeau the last day, it is a happy group that sings along the whole way on the rather difficult way up the steep hill.
As Ava got ready for bed that night, she started to wonder when her parents would find her. Don't worry about that now, Ava, she thought. You are an adult now, they have no hold over you any longer. With that thought in her head, Ava went to sleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.

Shouldn´t have mixed building the house and playing without saving!
