But neither Granny nor Magnus are acknowledging her. They are too busy staring at each other. A fight of willpower. That Magnus wins. His little smile disappears as quickly as it had appeared and is replaced by a hint of cruelty in his cool eyes.
‘Then, I’ll come after your daughter – witch or not. And then, your granddaughter.’
I enjoy reading the adventure notifs too, and how they sometimes come back in different period outfits. The time machine adventures are especially dramatic. Now you have me trying to think of all the places where Sims can have text adventures so I can take a Sim on all the different types, lol. There’s the mausoleum, the tunnels drilled with the miner, the time machine, upgraded wardrobes, upgraded space cars, underwater diving caves... I think there might be some more, but I can’t remember them atm.
There's the gyroscopic conductor, upgraded with the dimensional gate. I didn't know the wardrobes could be upgraded. I'll have to look into that.
D’OH! That’s it! I play enough handy Sims (and like completing all the upgrades for the skill challenges) that I should’ve remembered that one. Another object I’d forgotten incorporates text adventures—the VR goggles. It’s been forever since I’ve bought my Sims one of those.
And yes, wardrobes can be upgraded to become a portal by a witch, once they level the spellcasting skill to be able to do magical upgrades.
Oh yeah, my current sim has one of those that she was sent as a gift for being a celebrity. I hardly ever get one of those for my sims, so totally forgot about it.
I found a potential partner for Rian when I was doing townie birthday makeovers. This is Jonas Ingberg who starts out as a child in a fresh Aurora Skies save.
In my main Sims 3 Going Solo/Back to Basics save Second Gen Heir Asbel aged up to a YA and took over the reigns.
He gained the Loser trait to add to his already stellar list of Hates the Outdoors, Absent-Minded, Easily Impressed & Coward. Definitely one of the unluckiest sims I've ever had in terms of random trait rolls.
In better news, for him and me, the girl that he's going to have the next generation with (Kaylynn Langerak) called him up immediately after he aged up and when he invited her over later there were heart farts all around. So maybe he's not as big a loser as he thinks he is!
My Founder Violet, aged up into the cutest elder of ALL TIME seriously. Since she makes good money as a surgeon she'll be finishing out her work week before she gets her wish to retire.
My general rule is once they age to elder if they've already accomplished their LTW they're mostly left to their own devices once I've cleared out any lingering whims and spend their points on stuff. Violet currently has four whims locked in. One is to Retire, One is to Max Logic (she just reached Level 9), one is to Upgrade 5 Objects (she's at 3/5) and one to upgraded the toilet to self clean. We'll be working through those as quickly as possible so she can truly retire (and help raise the next generation)
Emma Rose just arrived home from boarding school. She graduated from the School of Peace and Love, and will be going into the culinary career.
Mia is still away at Le Fromage boarding school. Olivia just reached the teen stage, one day after her mother, Rose, aged up to adult and her brother Kyle aged up to child. They family has one more child, a son Derek, who is a toddler. Their father, John, is also an adult.
