Updating Harvestable for new..ish patch?

Let me preface this by saying that I have absolutely no idea how to mod. My talents include playing with tools in blender and unity. Nothing to do with the Sims. HOWEVER, I Learn pretty quickly so if there's a blog or a video, anything to teach me how to update harvests, I'll take the time to learn it. Leniad's cupboard is basically gone, like no updates on whether his harvests would be fixed. So I want to fix them for myself. I'm not going to redistribute them out of respect for him, but I really do love his recipes and since they require his harvests, I can't have them. Unless I just buy the ingredients via graycurse mod, but I have a sickening feeling that even having old harvests in my mods folder is gonna screw up the game, even if I don't use the plants themselves.
