No dragonfruit, no bird of paradise after grafting

Hi, I didn't graft to create these. I just cut the branch of dragonfruit and bird of paradise at the festival and grafted them into my wolfsbane plant and plasma tree. It has been a week since I grafted them. I harvest them almost everyday but only plasma fruit and wolfsbane.





it's surely spliced plant but it produces only plasma fruit without dragonfruit.
Dragonfruit can't be created from plasma tree which means I grafted dragonfruit plant's branch onto my plasma tree.






It's spliced plant, wolfsbane and bird of paradise but only wolfsbane I can harvest.




I also grafted plantain branch onto garlic plant.





Plantains are with garlics. Some of rare items are not shown. Is there only the way to get these from buying rare seed packs? It costs 1,000 simoleons for 1 pack but even it doesn't show what items are in it. If I get the items which I don't want, then it would be useless. I don't want to waste money. I had to pay 5,000 simoleons to get death flower seed in other game. It's surely bug I think. I almost gave up collecting gardening collectables since the latest patch. I still don't have Seasons EP.

With the overhaul of gardening with Seasons, the chance of getting the rare plant has been made very more dificult. This AHQ EA thread refers to this

Carl on his Carl’s 4 website has made a mod to balance out the odds of getting the rarer plant. You may like to use that. The article also explains more about the change that has been made to grafting and gardening

@rosemow Thank you.:) I better use mod or just give up for getting rare things. I feel like it's more difficult than getting UFO fruit from space exploration.

If you would like to have growing dragonfruit, a workaround is to do download a room that contains dragonfruit

There are also rooms on the gallery that contain all the plants in the game.

@cabx88, Hi you can get the dragonfruit from festivals in San Michuno if you have city living ep. Also I got some bird of paradise, pomegranate, lemon etc.. But I haven't seen death flower and bonsai buds at the festivals. I got the pomegranate is from retail fruit selling, got the bird of paradise and dragonfruit from humour festival and maybe...romance? Not sure I will check this again in game.

The problem is that we won't get those harvestables after planting on home lot without mod. I've been using the mod from Carl's sims4 guide site and now I'm able to harvest them. Amazing!
