TBH, for now, I don't really want to read any cool blog (unless it's about TS4 development or planning for this year & the remaining years). So, what's next? Are they going to address the anniversary update? Are they going to share with us every stages of the game development, like more transparency with it? They need to understand that, the Sims might be the "ultimate" simulation game, but, not everyone focus to one genre of game. People won't stop comparing, even though this franchise might be the first game for some of us. Not for me, but it's among my favourite PC games when I was a child.
Yes, they might be working at home, so do the rest of us. But, we're not in 80s or 90s anymore. We can always Skype or do a live conference among team members & work things out together (I reckon, they do know more than this, I suppose). Not everything requires face to face interaction as long as the instruction is clear & everyone who works on it, understand it.
If this is going to be a trend, I suggest that some people need to be reorganised & start a new team before it's too late. TBH, I'm extremely bitter since the anniversary update.

Me too...I am extremely hurt on how this team treats us...I am so ready for TS5 and hoping they learn from their mistakes and do a better plan when communicating .
To be honest, I think there are bigger priorities than a new pack right now. News is nice but it's really optional right now. I'm way more concerned with when we get testing for NHS staff, and vaccine updates, than I am about a potential new sims pack. I'll admit that I bought Cats and Dogs recently but I am even not that interested in the Community Stuff Pack right now.

I agree. There's way more important things going on that have affected just about everyone. I would think that having extra patience would be expected at a time like this. The devs have to adjust to doing everything at home now, which means the entire flow of their game creation process has been disrupted and changed. They can't just pop over to a cubicle/table/pod/office for a quick question or meeting, communication between them is going to be slower and we're talking about a team of about 200 strong. We will most likely see content come out at a much slower pace than was originally intended. People need to calm down and put it in perspective. It's just a game, and devs need to be safe, too.
Get used to waiting, folks... as long as people have to keep social distance, life as you know it is going to be different. It's okay, we'll get past it. But for now, there's no other choice so finding other distractions is probably the best thing you can do.
Thanks @Mariefoxprice83 and @LiELF for your insightful comments. Additional comments on EA's work from home situation and the impact on TS4 can be made in the following thread.
