"Welcome to Crimson Peak! This is your home now, I'll make some tea"
This 6 bed, 4 and 2 half bath Residential Home is based on the house from the movie Crimson Peak. I've had to take some liberties with design due to Sims 4 limitations but I think I have captured the essence of the place. Hopefully.
It is built on a 64 x 64 lot in Windenberg but will fit on a 50 x 50 lot without loss and costs $549,555. Unfortunately I couldn't get it any smaller to fit on the 40 x 30 lot. Living areas consist of the Great Room, Sitting, Drawing and Games Room as well as Kitchen and Workshop. Four of the bedrooms are doubles while the other two are for a toddler and for children. The workshop has an archaeology table, pumpkin carving table, woodworking table and children's science table. The decoration box for those special occasions is in the tower on the right side (not clock tower) if you have Seasons. Hope you like it!
Crimson Peak is a very grand build! The architectural exterior design of the home looks very great! Very nice roofing design! The furnishing and layout of the interior looks very nice! The two storey great room is great! Very nice fireplace area! It is very nice that there are library and music nooks in the great room. The wall texture gives a great look and feel to the build.
It is a very detailed home which would have involved much time and work!
Thanks @Jendowoz0612 I spent months building and there are still things I would change now but I had gone too far to make the changes.
Thanks @rosemow Really could have done with one more storey for the towers. They don't quite stand out enough but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
Wow, Crimson Peak is absolutely stunning! Fantastic architecture and roofing and I love how you've placed the windows on the half wall at the front, very effective. Awesome interior design, so much incredible detail
Thanks @masajo I put quite a bit of time into it and am pleased with the outcome. I appreciate you stopping by as you're such a great builder yourself.
I like the vibe in the study of your Crimson Peak build, it kind of gives a feel to the whole place like the build is a bit austere but then you add movement and sound and inquisitiveness and then it’s more alive then austere.
Thanks @JojoMOMSTER It's actually based on a house in the movie of that name. It's a hor.ror (I don't think we can say that word on the forum) movie and the house is the real monster. It is beautiful, yet foreboding; elegant, yet falling apart. It bewitches you while at the same time terrifies you. At least that is what it is meant to do to you. It was hard to achieve that with what we have in the Sims package.
@crysk I only realised yesterday I forgot to include the basement photos. Technically the "basement" is made up of a series of underground "tunnels". I utilised this picture to base mine on as it came up with the search for Crimson Peak although I don't recall seeing it in the movie. However, because I thought in game this house would be good for vampires, I wanted to make the basement "the vampire spot" so here are a couple of pics. And yes the reddish terrain paint is under the snow. The Gallery picture should be showing that.
~ Oh! Wow! you have finished it! I love it you did an outstanding job of recreating this with no CC!
~ It is going in my game,I needed a new Vampire mansion!LOL!
~ Thank you! so much!
Thanks @aussiekarima, glad you like it. The Vampire Pack gave me just enough to get me past the post. I'm disappointed though that the largest lot in Forgotten Hollow is only 40 x 30 as I had almost finished the build and couldn't make it fit on that size without a major re-work.
