Welcome to my newest project.. a Townie Rotation. What is that, you ask? For the purposes of this exercise, Townies are the playable sims that EA populated the world with. (Townie can also refer to any non player character, like the people that wander the streets, but I’m talking about the ones who actually live in the houses of the world and/or were officially released the the gallery.) .. And a rotation means I’ll be playing all of the EA characters in a round-robin style. This will be the second one of these I've started, but the first I've blogged. I put a lot of initial time into setting up the pages for all the families and neighborhood tours (plus it gave me something to do while waiting for Seasons to come out).

What does all that mean? Basically that I'm playing EA premade sims in one week increments, then moving to the next family. I have "index" pages set up where all chapters for that neighborhood's families will be listed in order, so it'll be easy to follow along. I'm also linking the family pages together at the top and bottom of their pages so it'll be easier to keep track of a particular sim's or family's story all in one place. I will post to this thread whenever there's a new update. As of now, all families have their introductions and all the tours are complete, so feel free to wander through the links I have below.

Here I'll link the indexes for each neighborhood (except for forgotten hollow - I'm not playing vampires in this save - they'll get their own save in a while, I think. oh, and Magnolia Promenade also doesn't have an index since nobody lives there.)

Such a good idea to do the blog post after you play, think I need to give this a go, I tend to be really far ahead of my playing than the blog posts so I kind of forget what story I had planned.

@gemma_spencer It makes a huge difference, blogging right after you play. Leaves you completely free to start the next family. I just save and close the game as soon as I get to 5:30 AM or so on Sunday, and go write the post up. I've played ahead of what I have published right now, but it's all written up and ready to post once a day. Or that's what I'm trying to stick to, for now.

Pancakes is the next family.. they'll be up tomorrow. I'll probably get finished on their playthrough tonight, since the weather's supposed to storm tonight, and the dog won't let us sleep through storms with her panic attacks.. so I'll be up most the night.

I have to say, I'm really having a good time with this rotation game. I paused this evening and finished writing up my next Rambler (Drifter Challenge) post, and forced myself to play another few days on them. Which reminds me.. I really dislike house 006 because of the "Mansion Baron" aspiration. Big houses just aren't fun to build for me. I did spend several hours re-doing the house so that I like it a bit more, now, though. For now, however, I'm going back in game to load up the Pancake's house again .. yay!

I will probably not be posting much this week. To make a long story short, our Air Conditioning is not working and we've had trouble getting someone out to fix it. The end is in sight (it will get fixed friday or saturday), but with the heat wave we're set to get this week, we will probably not be spending a lot of time at home, so I probably won't be playing and posting much if at all this week. I wanted to post something about it, however, so I wouldn't leave you guys wondering what happened.. and I will get back to posting as soon as being at home is once again tolerable!

I've been looking for something exactly like this. Thank you. I've just been able to afford a new computer, after almst a year of not having one. And this is what I wanted to do when I restarted the game. I felt it would be the best way to experience all aspects of sims 4 gameplay. All different aspirations, personality types etc. I also plan to play in a whimacy style, that way the sims can really tell me who they are, rather than the other way around.
