Unable to patch, repair or play :'( «123...Next Go

I haven't played for a few days. I wanted to test out the patch today. When I first clicked on the Origin shortcut it downloaded the latest Origin update. When Origin loaded I had the usual notice on my Sims game that an update was available. I clicked on update and I got the message "Folder does not exist". I tried to load my game from my usual desktop shortcut but it switched to Origin and gave me the same message. I can't repair the game either as I get the same message. I restarted Origin a few times and restarted my pc as well but I still got the same message. Everything was fine when I last played 2 or 3 days ago. I don't have any mods or cc in my game. Please can somebody help me?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling origin and see if that helps .

When you click on the sims 4 picture in Origin, does it say that the game is installed? Is there a play button there?

No. It just tells me to update the game.

I just did that, it helped me. I downloaded the newest version of Origin on the website, then had it replace the old one in my apps folder.

I tried by making Origin iffline. I then had the option to play the game. The game loaded but all my packs were missing (I have them all) and none of my saves were there.

Are your save game files still in your saves folder?

I have this same issue. First it said folder does not exist, then I restarted my computer and got the message "update available" but when I try to click on this nothing happens. Could this be due to game overload with many people accessing the system to download the patch? I'd rather wait and see than uninstall and reinstall Origin.

All my saves are still in their folder.

I am having the same problem, but I do not want to uninstall origin and lose all my stuff.

Hello @misspopthing
If you uninstall and reinstall Origin, you won’t lose your saves or your creations from your library. It doesn’t affect the items in your sims 4 folder.

Try moving your whole mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if that helps the issues.
There has been many mods/cc broken by today’s patch.
If you have the MCCC, mod 'More CAS Columns'' or “UI Cheats Extension”mods they were broken. It would be best to remove them and download /install the updated versions when they are released .

For simmers having this issue, try shutting down your computer again. Then restart the computer, log into origin and see if the issue remains.

I have zero mods in my game. But it still will not update with the new patch.

if you use MCCC Remove it and i got mine to work that way

You may need to see if uninstalling and reinstalling origin may help the issue.

I have restarted three times, have no mods or cc and have uninstalled and reinstalled Origin but I am still having the same problem.

I am trying to uninstall Origin, it seems to be taking a long time which never happened when I uninstalled anything, ever.

I am having this same issue! "Folder not Found" from Origin! Tried restarting my PC and that did not help. I have no mods or CC in my game. I will try to re-install Origin.

I have just tried loading up Sims 2 and I have got a different message saying it is not installed on this system. I didn't have any problems with it the last time I played it a few weeks ago.

Re-installing Origin did not help. Still getting the same message!
