I seriously want Generations for my sims. I am a big family simmer- this would be perfect for the Legacy challenges. I think they should take inspiration from the Sims 3. I LOVED THAT EXPANSION PACK.

I'm seriously hoping a generations pack will follow after university (assuming that one is next since it's what the most vocal fans want). We're in desperate need of some new family play, as we've gone 3 soon to be 4 packs in a row without any.

I saw someone mention [...] a type of retirement home or a communal area for elders to live in when they are older.

If we ever get a build-your-own-apartments pack I would love to be able to set requirements on apartment lots, similar to how we can set requirements for clubs in Get Together (such as age, financial status, traits and skills.) I'd make several elders only living complexes.

I think the sims team should come out with a Generations pack for Sims 4. Parenthood didn't add enough in my opinion. They should also bring back features and items like treehouses, bunkbeds, daycares, playground equipment, and dress-up boxes.

I really, really, really want every single lifestage to have its one gamepack. I would want first a Elders one, they have absolutely nothing to do in the game.

this would be just so awesome! Every lifestage to have their own GP - and I need a new baby stage like in Sims Freeplay and preschoolers and preteens!

If they make a Generations pack, I hope they add a lot of new hair and clothes for toddlers. Their wardrobe is so lacking. I'd really like to see new pajamas for them. It would also be great to get new traits unique to toddlers, kids, and teens, and new unique aspirations for kids and teens.

It would also be a great pack to add more after school activities like sports and dance.

Over here in my country kids aged 3-6 go to preschool. Kids don't learn any academic skills in preschool (except for counting or the days of the week or something like that), it's mostly crafts and games and just fun play, kids go there to meet other children and expand their social competence. It's called "Kindergarten" in Germany, but I didn't call it like that in my post because it's the US forum and "Kindergarten" in the US is very different from what it is in Germany.

So a preschooler would be the "life stage" that comes after toddler and before child.

I would really like to have the following life stages in my game:

newborn (0-3 months) - free them babies from their bassinets and give us a changing table and stuff!
baby (4-12 months) - they could implement the features from Sims Free Play with them, make them real sims with a bit of hair (so you can see their hair color), traits, they develop their eye color, give them cas items!
toddler (1-3 years) - we got wonderful toddlers already!
preschooler (4-6 years) - enroll them into preschool (playable), teach them to count, have them find their first friend, meet other moms in the park for playdate (you can do that with your toddler too of course, but your preschooler can interact more with other kids and they are much more independet, they're basically little children)
child (7-9 years) - we got good children and people made wonderful suggestions above for expanding that life stage, follow them to school e.g.
preteen (10-12 years) - first crush, zits, sharing secrets with best friend about crushes etc
teen (13-19 years) - graduating, prom, first relationship, sneaking out, all the wonderful things people suggested!
young adult (20-30 years) - go to University, get your first job, start a family, buy a house
adult (31-60 years) - master your career, raise your children, buy a house
senior (60 years up) - retirment life: bingo, golf, babysitting grandchildren, etc

This would be so wonderful. I am a family player obviously and this would make family play for me just much more realistic. But I would like for people to have the option to turn off certain life stages if they don't want them, I get that not everyone likes to play with babies e.g.

I would be happy if they just expanded what we already have in life stages such as midlife crisis for adults they even mention it on ageing up to adult but there is no midlife crisis in game so it seems kind of misleading
also more to do with babies would be nice they wouldn't even have to #freethebabies just #addmoreforbabies they need a makeover real bad they ugly also I want to be able to make babies in cas

That's... that's way too many life stages imo. I like what we have now.

This puzzles me. There is a parenthood pack. They are not going to make a generations pack - that's what parenthood is.

@troshalom No, Parenthood was literally just about parenting, aka, the young adults and older. A Generations pack should give focus and actual new gameplay to all life stages.

" I'm coming' Elizabeth! or fake heart attack"

This would trigger the ever loving hell out of me because my Grandfather did this all the time! And just like Redd Foxx, when it happened for real no one took him seriously...........Let's put this in the game!!!

@ListentoToppDogg not gonna happen. Parenthood teased out aspects of Generations. Lots of what is in that pack is already in game minus a few things like prom. I actually have generations in TS3.

This is from Carl's guide regarding Elders - not much:
    Elder
The only big changes for Elder that I noticed were canes and a few new social interactions. The cane is kind of interesting. Elders will move fairly slow, but can actually move a bit faster if you buy them a cane from the indoor activities buy mode menu. Clicking the cane, you can get the Southern Gentlemen gait, which was a bit faster in my testing. Geriatric gait is appropriately very slow. When your elder has a cane, you can find the Harass with cane interaction that is good for showing youngsters just how old and crabby they are.
We need something that was never done b4

@troshalom It doesn't have to be exactly as it was in TS3. They should aim to do more than was done then (though I doubt they actually would). But regardless of what they do, the non young adult life stages need more depth to them, and a Generations pack is the best way to do that.

I also have the sims 3 generations and can say that a lot has been left out. Generations was an expansion where Parenthood is a game pack and parenthood was about raising children not about growing up or about generations in general.

Things missing that were in the sims 3 generations:
School Dances, Prom Night for teens, high school graduation, teen house parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties (with the return of entertainers), new wedding ceremonies, and slumber parties.
Boarding School: Sims can send their children and teens to any of 5 specialist boarding schools such as military school, sports academy, art school, hippie school or a posh prep, at each one the sim will learn new skills. The Boarding Schools aren't free.
    We got the memory scrapbook
New Afterschool Activities: Children can either attend ballet classes. Teenagers can join up to two High School clubs including the sports team, drama club, debate team, school band, student newspaper, and more.
Costume chest: Children can dress up in different costumes.
Strollers are available for babies and toddlers.
    Walking canes for elders.
    Champagne
Children and teens may now have dreams and get either positive or negative moodlet when they are awake.
Sims can now ask parents-in-law for their child's hand in marriage.
    Field trips
    Treehouses
    Bunk beds
    Spiral stairs
    See-saws
    Strollers
    Video cameras

    New creature: Imaginary Friend
Adults can experience a midlife crisis.
    Reading bedtime stories to children
We don't have cars in the sims 4 but you could also teach teenagers to drive
    Teens can prank houses
It also added two new traits nurturing and rebellious
It added body hair in CAS
Added the new profession daycare (where you could run your own daycare from home)
    Added lifetime rewards:
Clean Slate: enables the Sim to completely erase their reputation and start over (note that this resets all information about their current relationship bringing the days involved with a partner to zero).
Hover Bed: a floating double bed for the Sim which gives them an additional +10 moodlet.
Above Reproach: A reward which decreases the chance for Sim to get caught cheating.
Inheritance: A reward that gives the Sim a one-time award of money from a long lost relative, who the Sim has no relationship with. The demise of this Sim coincides with the bought wish.
Super Nanny: A reward which is a benefit for those pursuing the new Day Care profession.
Young Again: A reward that gives the player a Young Again Potion (can also be made at the Chemistry station).
Motive Mobile: A 50's style van which a Sim can mark as their preferred vehicle and which fills up all of their motives in one trip.
Clone Voucher: A coupon that is worth one genetic duplicate of the Sim who cashes it in but the new Sim is created as a child.
Age Freeze: A reward which gives the player's Sim a potion that cannot be made from the Chemistry station that freezes the Sim's biological clock and prevents further aging unless using the Birthday Cake.

Besides all of these things that are missing, I would like to see new things added as well:
    Tea parties
    tricycles (for toddlers)
    Slides (for kids)
    bikes (for kids)
Elders being able to watch grandkids/keep them overnight to give their kids a break
    Lemonade stands
    bake stand
    sandbox
    skateboard
    scooters
    baby showers
    funerals
    likes/dislikes
    wants/fears
    more things for babies

I would also like to note that this was everything in the expansion minus the discipline aspect that we have in the parenthood game pack. (Which added different ways to parent your child that we didn't have in generations) I love the parenthood game pack but it's different than generations. Also, why is it okay to have multiple occult packs but people seem to think one pack about family is okay?
