Waffles or Pancakes «1234...Next Go

So me and my best friend are having a debate lol. She believes that waffles are better while I on the other hand believe pancakes are better. She likes to play the sims and so do I so I figured I would ask here as well.

Which do you prefer?

Pancakes. Waffles taste more bland on its own but not pancakes.

I'd probably get run out of town if I said waffles. I live in a pancake place lol. Pancake breakfasts for every occasion (it's almost free pancake week, too!).

Thankfully, I'd say pancakes anyway. I don't really like syrup pooling in waffles, I like how it just spreads evenly over a pancake. And waffles just taste different and not as good.

I like waffles more. It's mostly a textural thing. I like how they're crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.
But since pancakes are a lot quicker and easier to make I've had them more often.

pancakes are.. edible. waffles are the best, especially with fresh fruit on top.

both are perfect...just put pancake batter in the waffle maker it's the toppings that decide it all

This is hard, but I have to choose pancakes. It's harder to make waffles into cute little shapes.

Pancakes of course (since Pancake Day is the best day of the year, hands down)! Waffles are a close second though!

Definitely waffles. I prefer having the crispy cells filled with syrup than eating a pancake that quickly becomes like eating a sponge soaked in syrup.

Pancakes...Chocolate chip pancakes are my fave.

I use to like waffles. When my uncle gave me blueberry waffles as a kid, HATED it. It made me dislike waffles, blueberries and everything else with blueberries in it.

It really depends on the chef. We made some pancakes when we were out camping that were so inedible even the garbage disposal aka always hungry dog was choking on them when we tried to get him to eat them. Perfect pancake vs perfect waffle? Probably the waffle as it has a lot more texture and even a bit of crunch.

I've never had ''American pancakes''... Pancake is a completely different concept where I'm from :'D So I guess I have to say waffles.
But I do prefer crepes over waffles
