It's official- No snow depth

If you can call white paint snow at all.

Thanks for sharing the tweets
@Lomelindi7

Thought I'd post them here for everyone to see.

If they are using this excuse I'm expecting more than making holidays and a spashpool. Just saying :/ Wonder if weather will be dynamic or was that also left out for 'amazing' features?

I sure hope there’s some interesting climate mechanics and dynamic weather! I will still be getting this pack, but I would definitely say I’m disappointed that the snow is just white recolouring

I feel like I will get it eventually just to get rid of endless summer. But I don't feel at this moment anything added in the pack will be worth giving up snow for.

That’s fair! It’s a personal decision. For me, I’m pleased there will at least be rain and thunder. The thermostat thing sounds great, as well as having different outfits for summer or winter or your sim will suffer... all those things sound appealing enough to me. But so far, all the expansion packs have felt more worthwhile at a sale price, in my opinion.

That;s very true, when you get them at full price you focus more on what you didn't get for the money. At least that's how I felt about CL when I saw there was no elevator animation.

How often will this pattern repeat itself?

Something is missing and without the community pointing it out and debating about it EA probably wouldn´t tell us anything.

I will still buy this pack but it is definetely a dissapointment - once more...

Grant actually stated they wanted to be open on this, so that’s not fair.
That being said, I’m also disappointed there won’t be any deep snow, especially as the reason that it would be ‘sub par’ could mean anything. I’m no game designer, so I don’t know how sub par would look.

That's rather disappointing. It's not a deal breaker for me, but I feel like they should have been able to do it. Is it really that difficult? I'll still buy it because it does look like a fun pack, and it looks like they did a good job in other areas.

No big deal to me. I'm getting a thermostat and holiday customization this time around.

What if the holiday customization isn't all it is being hypes up to be? Would you consider it good if it is exactly like the Group feature from GT?
Just curious, personally I don'y like the group feature and I don't see the holiday feature pushing me to buy on release day.

...Another way to be disappointing. Finally that's what they do the best... Pff...

I don't know, of course I would have liked to have snow depth, but it really isn't that big of a deal to me. I would rather have no snow depth than snow depth that looks like that awful ball pit. I would also much rather have my game running smooth than snow depth. I'm still very, very excited about seasons.

Also, it might be quite nice for practical reason. I mean, if you lost something in the snow in the sims 3, it was gone until spring. Not saying that this makes up for it, just trying to see it from the bright side. I'm getting the pack and some missing snow depth is honestly not making me less excited.

And if a mod will make that, they don't have any excuse to not add it after.

Leave it to modders to once again do the hard work essentially for free.

Well essentially what it seem like they did for winter is exactly what modders already did, paint everything white and I never downloaded those mods because I wanted real snow. So can they mod snow from nothing but terrain paint?

That’s disappointing. But glad it was addressed. The “We think this is the best version of seasons ever” has me more concerned as that’s what they said about cats and dogs being the best version of pets.

Time will tell I guess if the focus elsewhere makes up for lack of snow depth.

They always say that and it's never the case. So now we know that when they say it, it means bad news.

Well... I am sorry, but I cannot really believe that anymore. They always say something like this. If they would have been honest about it, why haven´t they been right from the start?

But I don´t think that they care and therefore a discussion about it seems useles.

    Have a good day.
Please don´t zagadoo me. I cannot deal with something like this and will have nightmares eventually. Like this one time, when I dreamed about a scary woman that told me "YOU RULE" in this very creepy voice and then clapped her hands, releasing a bunch of mindless dancers.

Agreed, they've said that for just about every Expansion and I've never agreed.
