Selling Omiscan Relics?

I thought that Sims could sell the Omiscan relics to the Simsonian Museum like they can crystals, rocks etc. once they have the Appraiser trait (from finishing the Curator asporation). I'm playing with one of my older Sims who earned the trait before I saved him to the Library, and I sent him to Selvadorada where he got a bunch of relics. I've authenticated them but there's no option to sell to the Simsonian. Was this option removed for some reason?

Also, is there a way to upgrade the relics to get better than Poor quality? Or just keep going back and digging up stuff?

You donate the relics to the Simsonian once you complete the archaeology aspiration - you won't get paid for them if you donate.

Also when you reach high enough skill you can end up with relics being sent to your sim for authentication - this brings in the dolla!! I did this with both my sims in my household and ended up with more money than I knew what to do with
