Victor: Oh... uhm... I don't mind children. I'm just... uhm.... *fidgets nervously. To himself.* Awkward around people in general.
Leslie: "No worries, Victor. I'm a little more awkward around people myself. Both Briar and I are homebodies, though I'm much more so."
Briar: "And another thing--Paul, that's a bit harsh." *addressing both Paul and Victor* "Not everyone's gonna feel comfortable 'round kids. That's ok, I never really was either."
???: *Sidles up next to Briar* "Says the person who was cuddling me in o'er half my baby photos, an' who's about to have 2 more babies."
Briar: *jumps back* "Sorrel? What're ye doin' here?"
Sorrel: "Heard yous were havin' fun. Besides, you an' Leslie an' Lyra gotta leave soon."
