Victor: *Giving Lyra a piggyback* Okay, let's see how fast we can get to the other side of the room!
Lyra: *piggybacking on Victor* *Ye-haw! Gid-e-up!"
Leslie: *turns to Briar "How come our child knows those expressions, of all things?"
Briar: "Heh. I may or may not've gotten some of Grandma Lou's old VHS Westerns out and watched them." *both laugh*
Lyra: "No. You can hide!"
Leslie: *whispers to Victor* "I believe she's telling you that if you want to hide somewhere, you could go hide in the pillows. Having all eyes on you doesn't always feel the greatest. I get that. Makes me feel uncomfortable too."
Meadow: *smiles at Cy and blushes* Don't worry, he's my friend. I'm not uncomfortable.
Briar: "Oops uh...sorry 'bout that, Meadow an' Cyrielle." *looks down, frowns, and crosses arms* I've been in some uncomfortable situations before. It started over 10 years ago now, I was fresh out of high school an' I got myself into a bad relationship. It ended thankfully, but seeing younger folks in situations that might not be wanted brings the defence outta me, y'know?"
Briar: *smiles at Meadow* "Thanks kid. I'm in a much better place now. Not long after, I ended up goin' t'university where I met Les in a weird chess club."
Leslie: *wraps arm around Briar and kisses her on the cheek* "--and the rest is history!"
Andrea : I went with a guy from my job, after a couple of date I thought he'd ask me to be in a relationship. Guess what ? He was married ! With kids ! I'm not a side chick.
So anyway days later I met Paolo at the park, he was doing push-ups.
