So i accidentally made my cc package files open with internet explorer and i want to know how to change it back. It doesn't affect my game but it's really annoying having the internet explorer icon on every package file.

I just tried that now and it doesn't work, thanks for the help though!
I accidentally opened the .package with winrar so now the default program that opens it is winrar. I have read a lot of the articles with the same problem and they said that it shouldnt affect the game, However my game would not go into play mode and was stuck in the household selection. Everytime i continue to play, it would lead me to the Worlds menu and I would choose my household again and again and it never loads.
Hello
You could try bringing it back to an unknown file association, then download another cc item that is a package item and it then may fix itself up.
This link explains how to make it have an unknown association.

I know I'm a bit late and you may have already dealt with it. What I did was to change the files to adobe reader dc and then delete the adobe reader. Restart and all the package files should be normal. You can download adobe reader dc again after deleting it. If you don't have the option to open the package files with the reader, all you have to do is download the reader, and set all pdfs file to open with the reader. https://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/
