Wow! Sean has now gotten himself into trouble. I wonder if Pammie will come to his defense.

I'm thinking she's too mad about the whole thing to help him out right now! He wasn't very nice to her at the end.

I dont think its the situation where he will stay locked up, with OR without pammie. especially with the amount of money he has. BUT i dont think his kind of media attention will be good for him at all.

Chapter 56 - Mother Will Handle It

I sat with my head lowered in the car and wondered how I had let myself get so out of control. I could still feel myself fuming but with so many thoughts racing though my head, I couldn’t even tell what was upsetting me the most. The entire day had been a nightmare, I should have known that it would boil down to a disaster. Three women in one day and all event with them had ended incredibly bad. First with Victoria, then Pammie, and finally Samara. I had actually came to a decision in this moment that I was over women for a while. They came with too much drama, too much hurt and lately … and career killing if I included Josie.

I never fought the whole way to the station, and happily co-operated while they took me in. I went quietly because I knew I had resisted back at the Hyatt and I didn’t need any more trouble. I just wanted to see Beth or even Pammie to get me out of this misunderstanding.

    2P7fmOk.png

I was placed in a small holding cell with a few other men who were drunk or sleeping on a bench and actually felt disgusted to be here, since I was no criminal.
“Oy, when do I get a phone call or talk to someone about this mistake?”
“They will be right with you for questioning. They are just talking to Miss Becke as we speak…” The officer explained.
“Oh great,” I explained. I knew she would be putting on a sob story and telling lies and playing a great victim while I was locked in here with a mob of criminals. I kept my distance and stayed towards the front of the cell and avoided any eye contact with the other men. This was completely degrading and every minute in the cell felt like an eternity.

    nMxsmGG.png

I had watched nearly every minute go by and it wasn’t til 45 minutes later I heard my name called,
“Hyatt. C’mon…” I man said firmly. As I passed through the holding cells I was directed off to a side room where I was gestured to sit down. After taking a seat I sat quiet until spoken to,
“So we have a statement from Miss Becke. Can you tell us what happened tonight?”
“A big bloody misunderstanding that’s what it is. I had a lady friend over for a few drinks and went to get a drink from the bar and came back to Miss Becke and my friend fighting in my hotel apartment. I escorted Miss Becke out and she got quite volatile after I dismissed an apparent pregnancy. She acted really really crazy after this and it got completely out of hand. I did not hit the woman though. She was a little banged up after fighting with my friend.”
“Can you give me the name and possible contact number of this other friend? It would be helpful to get a statement from her…” he asked.

    FvJaxZ0.png

After exchanging her details to the officer he got up to make a call. Less than 5 minutes later he shook his head,
“I can’t get hold of your friend via this number. But if your story doesn’t check out, domestic violencet is a serious offence Mr Hyatt …” And just as he said that I heard a knock at the door. Before he got to answer it my mother barged into the room opening her arms to hug me before kissing my cheek.

    bZKjqvq.png

She turned around and spoke sternly,
“Now I have paid a ridiculous amount of money to see my son freed back to his home for the night. You can come and do your questioning tomorrow…”
“Mrs Hyatt, we understand. But your son has some serious offences against him,” the officer said pointing at me.
“My son is not a woman beater. That Samara Becke has a screw loose. I will ensure you that he will remain at the Hyatt grounds until you come by again tomorrow after you have some evidence that he didn’t do this…” she said standing by me, “ Look at him there is not a mark on him, no blood or broken skin on his knuckles from any kind of abuse. I think you have locked up the wrong person…” she continued.

    qrv4ZI1.png

“We are forced to keep him over night until his story checks out…” he replied.
“Right! I’m getting a lawyer…” My mother said angrily pulling out her phone. The two officers looked at each other for a moment and announced that they were leaving the room. My mum snarled in the officers direction annd hugged me once more,
“Beth is out in the waiting area, she called me from here and I came down as quickly as I could. Oh my god Sean what happened?” she asked.
“There was a fight in my room between Samara and a lady friend of mine. It escalated to just one false accusation after another. And Pammie refuses to answer her phone. I cannot stay here mother…” I pleaded.
“Don’t you worry I will fix this…” she said rubbing my shoulder before exiting the room.

About 10 minutes later, the officers came back in,
“Okay Mr Hyatt you’re free to go. We will be contacting Mrs Cromwell, but you are restricted to the Hyatt grounds until further questioning…”
“Thank you officer…” I said getting up from my chair. As soon as I hit the waiting room after gathering my belongings Beth saw me come out and hugged me.

    bZP0hSF.png

“Of all the nights I decided to go home early, this happens. Oh the drama…” I could only roll my eyes at her for a moment before realising I dodged a bullet. I was going to get cleared, and the minute I was … a restraining order was going in place against Samara. Hopefully HER lies will be exposed for all to see. But first I had to deal with the wrath of the media attention from the night’s events. And that was going to be crushing.

At this stage we can only hope samara gets hers

At least Beth came and got him out of jail for the night. I hope Sean can stick to his 'no more women' for quite awhile. It would be good for him and all the ladies too. It will be very interesting IF Samara is really pregnant. That would beg so many questions from me and how would Sean even handle it anyway. I don't think right now is a good time for him to become a Father.

@haswh - Samara was bluffing. If you remember a few chapters back there was a Samara POV and she admitted to herself that she wasn't pregnant even though she told Annie she was. So it was a ploy to try and back Sean into a corner.

Hopefully Samara will get exposed. But what about Pammie... she is hiding out and angry. She probably believes Samara is pregnant if she heard her. And when Victoria finds out, she is going to be even more upset with Sean. Well, Sean - all of those good intentions are paving that road for you! Poor guy.

    Chapter 57 - She’s Delusional

I laid low for a few days and almost did absolutely nothing. I was restricted to the grounds, and the police had still not gotten hold of Pammie. And neither could I. As a last resort I gave them the address to Major hotels for questioning because I wondered where the heck she had gotten to. She was obviously mad at me … and I had no idea why, when I only felt that I was honest with her at the time of all the madness. But it finally came to my attention, that Rose had found her phone under the side of her bed completely flat. Even though the police had her address now, I decided to ring Major hotels to see if I could get hold of her myself. As soon as I called, I was put though to reception.
“Hello Major Hotels, how may I help you today?” It was her. It was Victoria. I nearly wanted to hang the phone up, “Hello anyone there?” she asked.
“Yes, I was wondering if I could speak to a guest.” She didn’t recognise my voice at first, but I actually didn’t want her to. It was then I realised I should have had Beth make the call.
“Mrs Cromwell. I’m not 100% sure what room she is in. But I do know she is staying there…”
“Okay well if you could give me your name, I will give her a call and put you though…” she said politely.

    Ah No...!

“Uhm. It’s Sean Hyatt…” I said wincing and hoping she wouldn’t scream down the phone.
“Are you bloody serious?” she said in a surprised tone. “You will stop at nothing, won’t you?” she finished.
“Look Victoria don’t make this about you. Please check your guests and put me through to Mrs Cromwell…” I said rudely.

    XuWtRvL.png

“I will leave a message with her. Thank you for calling Mr Hyatt.” She said before I heard the dial tone in my ear. She had no idea about the seriousness of my call, and it frustrated me that I couldn’t just go to Major hotels myself. If I didn’t hear back from the police today about Pammie I was going to send Beth there.

As another day came I became impatient and called Beth up to my room to get her to run and errand for me. I began to think that perhaps Victoria hadn’t put my message through. Beth came up to my room and had a pile of books in her arms. She passed each of them on the table one by one. They weren’t books they were magazines. And on the front page of all of them … there was Samara and me on the covers stating the abuse, cheating, and that I was locked up and arrested.

    1jmfZS8.png

There was even convincing pregnancy stories amongst it. Headlines included that I beat a pregnant woman. I rolled my eyes and just shook my head.
“I never ever got to sit down with her properly before everything went bad. I didn’t get to be rational or let her down easy. It was actually probably the worst thing I’ve ever done. I don’t think I’ve ever treated a woman like that Beth…”
“Are you seriously feeling sorry for Samara now? You know she’s a right nutter…”
“These headlines aren’t about to change. And I’m just frustrated.”
“Well your board meeting is at 1pm anyway. Was there anything I can do for you?” she asked. I nodded and sighed out,
“Find Pammie. She’s either at OK! Or at Major hotels. The cops are useless and I’m sick of being stuck here…” I replied.

    Xkoyy8e.png

“Consider it done, but … I have messages. I have 3 from your mother, she did pop by yesterday evening but you were asleep. I also have a message from David, and several messages from Samara would you believe? I haven’t answered them but she has left many voice mails…” Beth said with a crooked smile.
“You’re kidding?” I asked. “Let me borrow your phone. If I’m rational with her she might go and drop these ridiculous charges.” I said before Beth handed over the phone to me.

    EVpXeFg.png

“Just be calm. Okay? I’ll have my other phone with me. I’ll speak with you later…” I waved to her and pressed the phone against my ear.
“Hello Beth?” I heard her say on the other end.
    “It’s not Beth, its Sean….”
“Sean?” she said and remained quiet for a minute, “So have you called to apologise to me?” she asked. There was not a chance in hell that would ever happen, but I still bit my tongue to keep the peace.
“I never got to have the conversation I wanted to have with you. I wanted to tell you that I had moved on from our fun. That I had been seeing other people and that we could settle things that never really begun… but REALLY I’m wondering why are you still calling me? You had me locked up like a criminal Samara, how do you ever think I’m going to get past that?”

    dBbN5Tv.png

“Okay I was emotional. I didn’t know who the woman was. And I was hurt.”
“I understand that you may have been hurt …but this is career and reputation killing for me. I am stuck here under house arrest until I can undo all of this. It’s only a matter of time until they find Pammie and clear the story up. Everything you have said to the cops and the press is untrue. And you will be charged for the false allegations against me. It’s not too late to make the wrong things right…”
“If you give me another chance, I will drop all the charges. I love you. I can’t live without you Sean…” she said beginning to sob on the other end of the call.
“You how I feel Samara. I’ve moved on from this. I suggest you do the same…” I said before hanging up.

She was delusional and completely did not understand what she had done.

I feel for Sean but he has dug this hole to an extent and now I guess he has to sit in it awhile longer. Hopefully all will get cleared up in the end...

Chapter 58 - Just Do Your Job Pammie

    PAMMIE POV

I went to work as normal for the next few days, but stories about Sean were beginning to surface about the night in question. I figured after I left Samara and Sean had a fight of sorts and it was plastered all over magazine covers. OK! Magazine had written stories about it, but they were very vague and the pictures were second hand. I tried to ignore it all because I couldn’t face Sean. I was actually pretty mad about it still.

    RtG8fF1.png

I couldn’t believe I threw myself at him like I did. But at the same time, he went from wanting me … to not wanting me at all. It made me feel humiliated and I ignored every call that came to my work knowing it might be him, because I had lost my mobile phone.
“Pammie… the boss wants us,” I heard Austin say poking his head over my desk divider.
“Coming,” I said scooting out from my desk. I walked over to the office and sat down before the boss got straight to the point.
“Now. I have something great! But since we completely missed the drama at the Hyatt two nights ago ... I know where Samara Becke is going to be at lunch time today and I need a story guys. To make up for your poor bloody efforts over the last few days…” he said beginning to get angered.
“Samara Becke is NOT the only news …” I snarled still feeling bitter about two nights ago.

    ychoDCg.png

“Well she bloody is at the moment!” he said slamming his hands down on the desk. “You guys were supposed to be on Sean Hyatt. Where were you both on that night?” he asked. I couldn’t be honest though. I didn’t know how to be honest about what kind of relationship I had with Sean to Austin or my boss.
“Sorry boss, will not happen again. Pam and I will get something….” Austin said cowering.
“You better, otherwise it will be your butt's, and I mean it. Now go, she will be having lunch at the Bellanger at 12... Go!” he said pointing to the door.

I was frustrated. Austin and I said nothing to each other while we gathered our things. I wanted to vent, but my job was really in jeopardy at this stage. I honestly did not want to see her stupid face and I had no idea what she would say if she saw me.

How would I explain another fight between Samara and I?

As predicted Austin and I spotted her out to lunch. She was sitting alone and on the phone as if she was waiting for someone. There was to civil was to go up to her and ask questions at this point.
“What’s the problem Pammie? Can’t you just go and talk to her rationally to see if she will talk with you? She may say no comment. And then we can take some photos of her and take some photos of her lunch date. I mean we got to do something…” I knew I could go and maturely apologise to her, even though I would find it completely cringe worthy. Finally after Austin pestered me for more than 5 minutes I wandered over to her table when I saw her at the table hanging up her call.
“Hi Samara…” I said quietly. She was startled at first and jolted in her chair.

    2vQC4sA.png

“What do you think you’re doing here? Are you stalking me?” she asked in a high pitch voice looking on guard.
“Look I’m a reporter and my boss got a tip on where you were today. But I wanted to take this opportunity to apologise to you… if we can be adults about this I’m willing to move on.” Samara rolled her eyes at me and dismissed me at first waving her hand at me.
“Am I supposed to be okay with you stealing my boyfriend?” she asked.
“I didn’t know he was your boyfriend okay?” I said placing my hands in my pockets and looking off to the side.
“Duh, how could you not? You’re a reporter, haven’t you seen our relationship on covers?” she said snarling at me.
“He told me something completely different. And I believed him. But I wanted to talk to you mainly about everything that happened that night…” Samara’s expression changed and she shrugged before sighing out.
“Look I will talk to you. But not amongst your little photographer. I want to talk in private. I talked to Sean today … and I have landed in a bit of situation I need you to help me out with. But if you don’t want the story ….” She said teasing me into giving her the okay.
“Where do you want me to meet you?” I asked.

    gg78BNV.png

“You can come to my house. But leave your photographer out of this.” I could tell she was still mad with me, but I was beginning to wonder what situation she got herself into. “Samara I don’t know if I want to be alone with you. Not after the other night…”

    LSmKPMJ.png

“Okay, okay bring him. But I’m not posing for any photos.”
“When do you want me to meet you?” I asked.
“Maybe about 2pm sometime after my lunch…” she said writing something on a napkin. I looked at it for a moment and it was an address of sorts.
“See you then.” I said walking away. I wanted to smack the smug little smirk off her face, but I slammed the napkin at Austin’s chest and headed to the other side of the car.
    “What’s this?” he asked.
“An interview. Now get in the car…” I said in a bossy tone. I didn’t want to do this, but I was interested about what really went on that night after I left.

Not going to go well. Samara will trick her into something, I just know it. She is evil and manipulative!
