If I marry two of my own sims, are there are downsides? Will I miss some achievement or anything? Is moving-in an achievement? I assume since they already live in the same house, that option won't be available.

I don’t think that there is downside. There isn’t achievement fulfilled when you move someone in.

I don't think you can drop an ongoing story. I started a bunch of stories with random sims when I first started playing... and now they're cluttering up my stories section. I just ignore them, but would be happy to know if there's a way to clear them.
Hi, I wanted to double-check... the "Racktastic Pot Rack," which is earned in the Professional Kitchen collection, is only decoration, and provides no benefits. Is that correct?
Other items, like the Rise and Shine Microwave (in the Rise and Shine collection) have a description such as, "adds helpful actions to Cooking Events."
Given that the Gourmet Kitchen Stand (Profession Kitchen collection) already includes a pot rack, it seems redundant to provide another pot rack in the same collection. And the Racktastic Pot Rack is also very high up on the ceiling. Seems like an odd design decision.

Hello
The racktastic pot rack is only for decoration. You do earn some liifestyle points though when you first buy it for your home.
So I finally got my 2 sims marry each other, now I'm aiming for them to have a baby. I already bought the bassinet. Do I still need to do anything else to get a baby?

Hello
You just need to click on the bassinet and there will be the option to have the baby.
Also, there's an adopt a girl/boy option?? Does that mean I didn't need a married couple, just a bassinet? Or does that item only becomes available once I have a married couple?
Also, I have another pair I'm planning to marry as soon as I can host a wedding party in a few days. And I want them to have a baby as well. I assume whoever uses the bassinet will be the parent of the baby? Or can that be changed via settings or something?
That's the thing, I kept clicking it but there's no option. It just bounces. Let me restart the game.
The bassinet will bounce if your sim is involved in an event when clicking on it. They need to be not doing anything else when you click on the bassinet.

You don’t need to have a married couple for them to have a baby.
Whichever sim is active when you click on the bassinet and the other sim that you choose to use in the birth option there, will be the parents,

Gotcha! Thanks! That also answers my question about couples of the same gender.

Is there a max for each energy recharge point (toliets, showers, etc.) limit? I added some items that day it adds +1 to toliets but after buying them it still says +3 only. I still use the first toliet from the tutorial and I added the TP, handsoap, and hand towel items.
I'm guessing it's either: 1). First Toliet opens the option to +3 despite having no specified benefits labelled. The three items are buffered in effect to make up for it. 2). Toliet needs to be upgraded in order to allow extra energy items. 3). Toliets are glitched
Choose life, because life chose you to experience it.
What is the best way to earn more Simscash? I've done most of the daily events and completed a shift at work. I have 0.00 Simscash and need more. Also, what relationship level can Sims get married?

I just noticed, my grilling item is gone. I can't remember it's name but it's not in my storage. :/

I'm guessing it's either:
1). First Toliet opens the option to +3 despite having no specified benefits labelled. The three items are buffered in effect to make up for it.
2). Toliet needs to be upgraded in order to allow extra energy items.
3). Toliets are glitched
At level 7. The odd thing is that you need level 8 to ask a sim to move in. But only a romantic relationship at level 7 to propose and marry.
Do heirlooms need to be placed out to grant benefits to your children, or do you just need to have them?
I guess that question goes for any of the other boost items as well, like the bathroom items. Do they need to be placed out to take effect?
Hello
You need to have the heirlooms in the collection box.
Edit to fix up a mistake. You do need to place the energy items in your game to get the benefits. These links explains about displaying the items
