Sims refuse to make meals that they started

Is anyone else have their sims start making food and stop midway in, just to give the thought bubble that their path is blocked. I have rearranged the kitchen, and even changed the counters and even changed the fridge and stove. None is custom content, in fact the original items were base game items. I do not own the new expansion, and all my cc worked even after patch. This is happening in my base game only build.

I have checked to see if it was any of my CC or mods and the same issue happens when all those are removed. My next step is attempting to repair my game, but this just happened in this my one and only save file. The file was started on November 15th. I removed all my older previous saves, from before November 15th as they were all corrupt, and really do not want to start over yet again.

Make sure that there aren’t any overhanging lights or overhead pots/pans or overhead cabinets, that could be causing issues.
Remove any items near the stove or fridge that were put there using the moo cheat and could be causing issues. Make sure that there is enough free counter space,

All counters are free and clear, except the one where the sink is placed. There are no cabinets or clutter items and the only light is in the center of the kitchen/dining room, not right over top of the kitchen area. MOO was not even used in the kitchen area. Funny thing is that I could go to manage worlds and go right back into the household and they would sometimes finish the making the meal, but just refused within the last 20 minutes of play no matter what I did. This just started happening in my game today, as I was able to play this save file for a couple of days before this happened.

Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" or " options " file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder

Did all that, and sims still are refusing to cook meals, giving the blocked path bubbles in the head. Trying them in a new home tomorrow to see if my lot is bugged.

There may be an issue with the lot. Try moving your sims to another home. Sell the furnishings when moving. Test in the new home if there are cooking issues. Then move your sims back to the original home and test again to see if the issues remain.

Do you have cc sofas? They have been causing this issue.
If you have cc sofas, beds,or outdoors tables, Sims 4 Studio has released a new updated version with batch fixes for the cc beds,and cc sofas, loveseats and outdoors tables.
You need to register with the site to access the download page for the program but it is free.

After installing the program, click the tools label at the top of the screen, the batch fix options will be able to be accessed from the drop down menu.

If you don’t have these cc items,move your whole mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and see if the issues are still there. If it has helped with the issues, put your mods/ CC back into the newly generated mods folder that is in the sims 4 folder one by one or in batches and testing after each one to see which is the causes of the problem.
