    Vampire Fangs on a Normal Sim? (Solved)

    I currently have The Sims 3 base game installed and created a Sim, but I noticed something was off: she appears with vampire fangs despite not being a vampire and that I haven't installed anything that has vampires. Is this a design choice or a glitch? The other Sim I created didn't have these fangs.

      When you created her, did you use a sim that had been a vampire initially? Sims, though changed and appearing properly in CAS, have a tendency to appear in their original state in the game (or in some kind of hybrid form like here).

      Nope, she was created straight out of CAS as a normal Sim. I also only have the base game installed.

      I don't know why it would appear without Late Night or Supernatural installed. Non-vampire sims for whatever reason can wear fangs. Not a glitch and possible there for storytelling reasons.

      Vampires were patched in at one stage, which is why they can be in your game without LN or SN.

      Vampire? For Base Game? :/ Never heard of that and didn't notice them in the Base Game when I started a challenge earlier this year. I had no packs other packs selected at the time. (just the BG) Strange... I'm confused. Are you talking about just the fangs?

      Yeah, you can put the fangs on normal sims. I did that for a sim recently because I wanted to dress her up for Halloween. I didn't know the Base Game also had the decorative fangs in CAS.

      I've looked everywhere in CAS but I couldn't find an option to give/remove her fangs. They just... happened to appear on her.

      @StickFiguresMMX Maybe they're hidden? Try pressing c + ctrl + shift and typing "unlockOutfits on" then "testingCheatsenabled true" and shift + click your sim for the option "edit in CAS" or something similar like that. See if the fangs show up then.

      Upon checking, it turns out that it is a clothing accessory, but the icon for it is a closed mouth for some reason.

      I remember this. The patch before late night. If you had Awesomemod or NRAAS MC or something, you could actually apply the vampire occult state to your sim through cheats. You wouldn't get any real interactions with other sims, but they would have the speed lines and animation noise when running, teeth, and the favourite food of O+ plasma.
      I tested it before I bought LN to make sure they weren't like wimpy Twilight vampires.... *shudder*

      I discovered this when I had an issue with a former vampire when I put him in my game through CAS. He had been a born vampire, then cured and turned into a witch by a potion. When I put him in my game, he looked like a vampire (with only the option to scare people) that could conjure an apple (no other witchcraft so he was a very flawed and useless hybrid ;)). I uninstalled both LN and SN to get him human and to my big surprise that didn’t help, he still looked like a vampire (without the mark in his neck and with normal teeth by the way). Then I learned about that patch. All ended well with him by the way, putting him in my game through the library imported him in his proper state (a witch that could learn things really fast).

      @StickFiguresMMX Yeah the preview picture really doesn't give a clue to what it could be in CAS.
