Maligning my generation...go ahead, then. GenX is used to getting the shaft. But we've been waiting a loooong time for GenZ (and the ones I know scoff at the term zoomer and use it dersively but maybe that's a regional thing?) and others who have both the fighting spirit AND the numbers, to come along so we'd have a fighting chance against the hypocrisy machine. \m/
@PriestessBizarre I'm not allergic to chicken, beef, pork, shellfish, or to wheat/gluten, or eggs, dairy, or peanuts.
So literally nothing except the two nuts I can't have now, are on the major allergens lists of most foods. But like, things I never hear of others being allergic to: like Kolrabi! It was terrible, and after that, I started reacting to broccoli! NOOOOO I eat that ALL THE TIME. But not now, because it makes me itch. I'm hoping that I won't stay allergic to all these things, and have reason to hope, because I can't eat a lot of cinnamon or breathe well next to those awful cinnamon-scented giant pinecones they sell in the store, but unlike a few years ago, I can tolerate a little cinnamon, now.
Someone told me once, it was because I was a ginger and gingers are allergic more than other people. I have no idea about that, but I do have some other autoimmune issues...was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid as a kid, but then it seemed to subside, then came back with a major bout of allergies around the time the large govt agency I worked for, was renovating its HVAC system amidst rumors of "sick building syndrome".
Anyway, between flareups, I was able to do college fencing, then martial arts and wrestling, but my food allergies all started in recent years. Never had food allergies in my life, and now it's like the list just keeps growing. Then recently had a flareup of allergies, when I became allergic to corn, and had an arthritic flareup again.
This is what has me still very worried about Covid. I might not be a safe candidate for the vaccine, yet immune overreactions are also very dangerous when it comes to Covid. Just hoping I can avoid getting it til a vaccine that's both safer for hyper-allergic individuals, and still effective, becomes available.

The smooth, yet wrinkly exterior, sometimes hairy. The way they fill my hand,
-right before I crack them and pry out the contents. Too bad I'm allergic to walnuts now. And coconuts (the hairy type as mentioned above).
