Mac-friendly mods?

Hello!

I've never used mods before, but I've seen a discussion for a mod that lessons the constant happy moodlets from artwork/decorations and high needs, as well as lower the constant extreme happy faces. It's very, very tempting to download. However, I've got no experience with mods, and I play TS4 on a MacBook Pro.

Here's the one someone suggested to me on one of the feedback threads, though I don't know if it's Mac friendly.

As a complete newbie to all this stuff (as well as a little scared/hesitant to use them), what are some suggestions for someone like me? I might never get around to using mods, but I'd still like some advice ^_^ thank you!

Not sure about the moodlets mod you talk about, but I've come to depend heavily on my mods from Deaderpool (https://deaderpoolmc.tumblr.com). The mods cover tons of things, are tested against updates, and have volunteer support for issues. Download and install instructions are included and are pretty easy to follow.

I run TS4 on a Mac Desktop.
